Board of County Commissioners in regular session, each member havi3bg had
personal notice of meeting, memebers present being Messrs, Berryman, Amos and
OtHeill
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Washington., State of Pennsylvania,, relative to the issue by the
said County of a note for Twenty-five Thousand ($25,000,00) Dollars as a tem-
porary loan, was presented., duly seconded and adopted by said Board, to-wit :
WHEREAS,, it has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of
Twenty-five Thousand ($25.,000,00) Dollars for the purposeof meeting current
expenses for -the year '1939 and to be payable but of taxes and other current
revenues which have been assessed and levied and are to be collected by the
County during the year now., therefore.,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of CountyCommissioners of the said County
of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for- the payment of
current expenses of the C-dunty, the proper officials of the said County are
hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary loan on such terms
as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have been levied
and are to be collected during the yoar 1939, and so much of said taxes as
may be necessary to repay said loan, wit) Interest,, are hereby set aside and
designated for that purpose, and issue A note therefor., payable August 5.
1939, with interest from date of said note at the rate of two (2 ) per c6nt#
per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pehnsylvaniao which
said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to
be negotiated and issued as follows :
THE WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COMPANY., Washington, .Pa,., $250000.00
There being no further business before the Board., the meeting was ad-

Motion by Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that Madlyn V. Bebout be placed
on the regular County payroll in the Office of the County Commissioners,, effec-
tive May 16, 19390 with proviso that she may be dismissed upon thirty dayst
notice . Motion carried, with Mr. Berryman not voting and wishing to be so re-
corded.
There being no further business before the meeting., It was adjourned,
