County Commissioners In regular session., those present being Messrs . Berry-
man, Amos and O'Neil,
Motion by Mr. Amos, seconded by W. Ormeillq that John 8, Combs be appointed
as Assessor in East Pike Run Township., to complete the unexpired term of Fred
Combs., regularly elected assessor therein., who tendered his resignation as such
assessor* Motion carried*
There being no further business befdre the meeting., it was adjourned.

County Commissioners in regular session., those present being Messrs. Berry-
man., Amos and O'Neil*
Motion by Yx. Amos,, seconded by Mr, OfNeil., that Brawn & Cowden., Hickory.,
Pa., be awarded the contract for the furnishing of all materials,, labor and all
else necessary to install and properly finish a complete and workable electric
system for supplying light and power to the Court House and Jail in accordance
with plans and specifications on file in the Engineering Department, Court House,
Washington, Pa., at their bid of $1097.00 and that the County Controller be au-
thorized to return the certified checks of all unsuccessful bidders. Motion
carried,
Motion by Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. O'Neil,. that Anthony Marino be appointed
Night Watchman In the Court House,, temporarily., effective June 8,, 1939, and
that John Marshall,
the present Night Watchman,, be transferred., temporarily, to
the County Ghrage as Day Watchman., and that Charles Lutes., now Day Watchman at
the County Garage., be employed., temporarily.' as Material Yard Foreman at the
County Garage., Motion carried., with Mr. Berryman voting "No" and wishing his
vote so recorded,
Upon recommendation of the Clerk of Courts,, Clerk of the Orphans ' Court.,
Prothonotary, Treasurer and Controller, the appointment of W, D. Brightwell as
Record Custodian was approved by the County Commissioners*
