Washington, Pa., July 25, 1939.
County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berry-
man, Amos and OfNeil.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to
advertise for bids to be opened in the Office of the County Commissioners -at
1:30 P.M. , on August 7, 1939, for the surface treating of various roads requiring
the application of approximately 23,000 gallons of tar and approximately 725
tons of limestone chips or 650 tons of slag chips; and for bituminous surface
course on the following roads:
WASHINGTON-BETHANY BRICK ROAD 10,800 sq. yds.
WESTLAND ROAD - Widening 1,800 tt n
PIKE RUN ROAD - Widening 11000 � n
McCLANE BRIDGE - Meadowlands 850
(Portion of)
SHAFT ROAD - Approach 260
MCMURRAY ROAD - Sec. 4 (Portion of) 1�550 n n
and for the placing of a mixed in place bituminous wedge course on the following
roads:

CLAYSVILLE-BURNSVILLE (Brick) ROAD 750 Tons
COUNTY HOME ROAD 75
LONE PINE-MARIANNA ROAD 100 n
BEALLSVILLE-ZOLLARSVILLE ROAD 150 n
Sppcifications and proposal blanks may be obtained at the Engineerts Office,
Court House, Washington, Pa. , for each of the foregoing contracts; a certified
check in the amount of Two Hundred ( 200.00) Dollars must be furnished by each
bidder on each of the foregoing contracts and the right is reserved to reject
any or all bids,
