County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.Berry-
man, Amos and OtNeil.
Motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried that the following
Resolution be adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County, that the
plans submitted by the Departmwnt of Highways for the changing of State Highway
Route-268, Section 13, in West Brownsville Borough and East Pike Run Township,
between stations 493*14-30 and 517t45.29, have been examined and the County
Commissioners agree that the County will assume liability, except as to the
portion within the limits of the Borough of West Brownsville, for any and all
property damages resulting from the construction of the highway as contemplated
by these plans, and also all damages arising out of any changes or alterations
of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of the highway.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned

Motion by Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. OtNeil, that the contract for the Con-
crete Culvert on the_Beallsville-Zollarsville Road, West Bethlehem Township, be
awarded to Fred Saxon, Fredericktown, Pa., at his bid of 1954-00, and that
the County Controller be authorized to return the checks of the unsuccessful
bidders. Motion carried.
Motion by,Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. OtNeil, that the contract for the neces-
sary structural steel for the following bridges be awarded to the Fort Pitt
Bridge Works, Canonsburg, Pa., at the unit pries per pound --as listed below:
WEIRICH AVENUE BRIDGE, Chartiers Creek No. 63
36,000 lbs. more or less, of plain structural
steel at their unit price of .0285 per lb.
BELL AVENUE BRIDGE, Buffalo Creek No. 9
5350 lbs., more or less, plain structural steel,
at their unit price of .02535 per lb. and 1475
lbs., more or less, of reinforcing steel at
their unit price of .02476 per lb.
