County Commissioners in session to consider the awarding of the contract for
fleet insurance for public liability, property damage, fire and theft coverage on
truck and automobile equipment owned and operated by Washington County, with the
following persons in attendance at the meeting: County Cormnissioners Berryman,
Amos and O'Neil, with their Solicitor., David H. Weiner., and County Controller
Smith, with his Solicitor, P. V. Marino.
Motion by Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. O'Neil$ that the contract for the above
mentioned insurance be awarded to MacDonald Weaver representing the New Amsterdam
Casualty Company, for liability and property damage., and the Eureka-Security Fire
& Marine Insurance Company for fire and theft, at his bid of $427,79; said contract
to cover a period of one year, viz, February 18s 1939 to February 18, 1940, and
that the County Controller be authorized to return the checks of all unsuccessful
bidders . Motion carried.
