O'NEIL COMMISSIONFERS Ll 1 C Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., October 2, 1939. County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.Berry- man, Amos and OtNeil. Motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried that the following Resolution be adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County, that the plans submitted by the Departmwnt of Highways for the changing of State Highway Route-268, Section 13, in West Brownsville Borough and East Pike Run Township, between stations 493*14-30 and 517t45.29, have been examined and the County Commissioners agree that the County will assume liability, except as to the portion within the limits of the Borough of West Brownsville, for any and all property damages resulting from the construction of the highway as contemplated by these plans, and also all damages arising out of any changes or alterations of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of the highway. There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned (SIGNED) COUNTY_ COMMISSIONERS. Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., October 3, 1939. Motion by Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. OtNeil, that the contract for the Con- crete Culvert on the_Beallsville-Zollarsville Road, West Bethlehem Township, be awarded to Fred Saxon, Fredericktown, Pa., at his bid of 1954-00, and that the County Controller be authorized to return the checks of the unsuccessful bidders. Motion carried. Motion by,Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. OtNeil, that the contract for the neces- sary structural steel for the following bridges be awarded to the Fort Pitt Bridge Works, Canonsburg, Pa., at the unit pries per pound --as listed below: WEIRICH AVENUE BRIDGE, Chartiers Creek No. 63 36,000 lbs. more or less, of plain structural steel at their unit price of .0285 per lb. BELL AVENUE BRIDGE, Buffalo Creek No. 9 5350 lbs., more or less, plain structural steel, at their unit price of .02535 per lb. and 1475 lbs., more or less, of reinforcing steel at their unit price of .02476 per lb. 5 MINUTE C i • BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA JOHN D. O'NEIL COMMISSIONERS GABBY BRIDGE, Chartiers Creek Np, 65 10,500 lbs., more or less, of plain structural steel at their unit price of .021715 the checks of the unsuccessful bidders to be returned by the County Controller and the check of the successful bidder to be held in -lieu of bond until such time as released by the County Commissioners. County Commissioners and County Controller in joint session for the purpose of Gpening bids for the furnishing of ballots and also all necessary election supplies for use at the Municipal Election to be held on November !, 1939. Present for the County Commissioners were Messrs. Berryman and OtNeil and also County Controller J. K. Smith; Mr. Earl B. Amos was absent. The following bids were opened and read in the presence of the County Commis- sioners as follows: Joint bid of the Monongahela Publishing Company, Monongahela, Pa., and the Ward Printing company, Washington, Pa., to furnish approxi- mately ninety-five thousand (95,000) Official Ballots, twenty-five thousand (25,000) Official Specimen Ballots, and the necessary ballots for a Motion Picture Referendum in the Borough of Roscoe, for the sum of Four Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-eight and No/100 Dollars ($4,788.00); all above for use at the Municipal Election November 7th, 1939, as per your advertisement. Motion by Mr. O'Neil, and seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the contract for the above mentioned ballots be awarded jointly to the Ward Printing Company and the Monongahela Publishing Company at their bid of 4,788.00. Bids were also opened and read in the presence of the County Commissioners in accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller for supplying tally sheets, return sheets, numbered lists of voters, Voter's Guides, etc., required for use of the Election Officers at the Municipal Election to be held Nov, 7, 1939, packed in 188 boxes for use in boroughs, townships and Third Class Cities. r Bid of William G.
