Motion by Mr. O'Neil* seconded by Mr. Barnes$ that the rate of taxation upon
the valuations of the properties of the County in order to raise sufficient re-
venues to meet required expenditures for the year 1933s be fixed at eight and one-
half (8-j'F), ,hills s which will make payment of taxes to the amount of eighty-five
(85) cents upon each one hundred dollars of assessed valuations of real 68tate
and occupations. Motion carried.

The following Resolutions were presented* duly seconded and adopted:
le Resolved* that the County of Washington enter into a lease for tract of
groundp containing some 41 acres$ situate in North Franklin Townships Washington
County* with the appurtenances* the property of Earl MoVehils for a term of two
(2) -years from this date* at an annual rental of $300s with an option on lease
of said tract for ground for three (3) years thereafter* at said rate of $300
per annum* mhich said tract is to be used as alprison farm" s this action being
taken to carry out the provisions of a motion* duly made and seconded and carried
by the Prison Board of the County of Washington* at a meeting thereof duly- called
and held on Thursday* January 19ths which said motion provided for the leasing of
the tract of land above mentioned for the purposes indicated., and authorizing the
execution of said lease* after examination and approval of same by the County
Solicitor* which said examination and approval have now been made,
2, Resolved* that the County of Washington enter into a contracts or agree-
ments with the General Electric Company* through its authorized local representa-
tines p the Knestric- Electric �Companys for the purchase of Incandescent lamps
for use in County buildings* for the term of one year, beginning February ls 1933a
on basis that purchases will amount to not less than $3001, and upon which purchas-
es discount of 23 per cent will be allowed on "standard package quantities" s and
