Office of the County Commissioners,
Washington, Pa., January 9, 1935.
'Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Johnston,
O'Neil and Berryman.
Motion by Mr. O'Neil, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that Mrs. Hair and her
daughter, matron and assistant matron, respectively, at Juvenile:Detention
Home,'Vest Beau Street, Washington, Pa., be retained in these positions for
the'ensuing year. Motion carried.

There being no further business before the Boards the meeting adjourned.
COUNTY' COMMISSIONERS.
Office of the County Commissioners,

Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Johnston,
O'Neil and Sbrryman.
Motion by Mr. Berryman, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that appropriations towards
defraying expenses incident to observance of Armistice Day, 1934, be made to
the following military origanizations:
Ernest E. Jones Post No. 212 American Legion,
Donora, Pa., Edward Jones, Commander, $50.00
Barclay -Robinson -Phillips Post No. 567, V.F.W.'s
McDonald, Pa., W.J.Margerum, Commander, $40.00
Motion boirried. There being no further business before the Board, the
meeting'was adjourned.until 1:30 P.M.
W-1:30 P.M., January 10, 1935, Commissioners met in adjourned session,
Aambers•present being Messrs. Johnston, O'Neil and Berryman. At this session
the following business was transacted:
The following Resolution was presented, duly seconded and adopted:
Upon request of the County Controller that certain delingx(4nt tax accounts
be written off the books of accounts, now, therefore, BE IT R SOLVED, That

delinquent Tax Accounts, for the the tax districts listed below, for the years
mentioned, heretofore carried on the book of accounts in the office of the County
Controller, be written off said book of accounts, but that they remain on the
delinquent tax lists in the office of the County Commissioners, subject to payment:
Charleroi, 1922-1923-1924-1925
California, 1925-1926
Centerville, 1925
East Pike Run, 1925-2926.
The following Resolution was presented, duly seconded and adopted:
RESOLVED, That the account carried on the book of accounts in the office of
the County Controller as an account against J. C. Galley, North Strabane Township,
for "old brick", be written off said book of accounts,
Motion by Mr. Berryman, no second, that the office of inspector of Weights
and measures in and for the County of Washington be declared vacant and that the
present incumbent,,John F. Curran, be removed therefrom.
There being no second to this motion, the Chairman declared it lost and of
no effect.
The following Resolution was presented, duly seconded and adopted:
RESOLVED, That upon expenditure by the Lemoyne `Alloys Company, a corporation
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, of the sum of twenty thousand (20,000.00)
Dollars upon building and premises, including improvements to building, equipment,
supplies, etc., upon property in Borough of New Eagle, Washington County, formerly
owned by D. W. Kuhn and H. A. Kuhn, the County of Washington agrees that the sum
of $4000.00 shall be accepted in full settlement of all taxes assessed against
said property for Borough, School and County purposes, due and unpaid prior to and
including the year 1934, similar Resolutions having bean, to the best of our know-
ledge and belief, adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Now Eagle and
the School Biratbiot of the Borough of New Eagle.
There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.
