Washington* Pa,* January 18* 1933.
The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County
Commissioners* Court House, Washington, Pa.* on Wednesday* January 1% 1933* at
10 o'clock A.M.* the following members being present: County Commissioners J. E.
Johnston* John N. O'Neil and W. A, Barnes and County Controller Guy Woodward*
and proceeded to organize for the ensuing year* upon motion of Mr. O'Neil*
seconded by Mr. Woodward* that the Board organize by the election of Mr. Johnston
as Chairman, There being no other nominations, motion by Mr. Barnes*seconded by
Mr, Woodward* that nominations close and that Mr. Johnston be declared elected..
So ordered and Mr. Johnston declared elected Chairman.
Chairman Johnston took the chair and the Board proceeded with election of
a Secretary; motion by Mr. Barnes* seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that John G. Hall be
elected Secretary. There being no other nominations* Mr. Hall was declared
elected Secretary.
Motion by Mr. Barnes* seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that persons -employed for the
purpose of doing extra work in any of the various Court House offices shall be
paid at the rate of three (3.00) dollars per diem for time actually employed.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr, O'Neil* seconded by Mr. Barnes* that the salaries of employees
of the various departments of the County of Washington remain as they were at the
close of 1932 until adjustments to be made by the Courts shall have been certi-
fied and further action taken by this Board. Motion carried,
Motion by Mr. Woodward# seconded by Mr. Barnes* that the Board adjourn to
meet at the call of the Chairman. Motion carried and Board stood adjourned.
