BARNES, COMMISSIONERS WARD E0 36502 SALARY BOARD 1934 The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County Commissioners, Court House, Washington, Pa., on Thursday, January 4, 1934, at 10:15 A.M., the following members being present: County Commissioners Johnston, O'Neil and Barnes and County Controller Post. The Board proceeded to organize for the ensuing year upon motion of Mr. O'Neil, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the Salary Board organize for the year 1934 by the election of J. E. Johnston as Chairman. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. OtNeil, seconded by Mr. Post, that nominations close and that Mr. Johnston be de&laced elected Chairman. Motion carried and Mr. Johnston declared elected Chairman, and meeting proceeded with Chairman Johnston in charge. Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. Post, that John G. Hall, Olerk of the County Commissioners, be elected Secretary of the Salary Board. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. O*Neil, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that nominations close and Mr.Hall be declared elected Secretary of the Board. Motion carried and Mr. Hall declared elected ,secretary. Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. OtNeil, that'all employees in the office of the County Commissioners and other departments coming under the jurisdiction of the County Commissioners shall receive the same salaries as paid to them during the year 1933, the list of such employees and the salaries to be paid for the year 1934 being as follows: Norman E. Clark, Solicitor, $215.00 per month John G. Hall, Chief Clerk 190.00 " Leo Maloney, Voucher Clerk 140.00 Earl B. Am6s, Clerk 120.00 Mark M. Decker, Clerk 120.00 M. B. The Salairy Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the matter of employees and salaries in the office of the County Treasurer, met in the office of the County Commissioners, Court House, Washington, Pa., on Thursday, January 4, 1934 at 11 o'clock A.M., members present being County Commissioners Johnston, O'jeil and Barnes, County Controller Post and County Treasurer, C. E. Carothers. Motion by Mr. Carothers, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the following employees of the County Treasx4vea's Office be retained for the current year, at the same salaries as heretofore, to -wit: , S. E. Carothers, Deputy Treasurer, 190.00rporn&bath. Mayme B. Richardson, Clerk, 145.00 " Jane Maurer, clerk, 125.00 Owen U. Britton, clerk, 120.00 with proviso that any of said clerks may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice. Motion carried. There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
