BARNES, COMM[ssioNaRs P 9 WARD YRIRTIH6 60 666p2 The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the matter of employees and salaries of the office of the Prothonotary, met in the office of the County Commissioners, Court House, Washington, Pa., on Thursday, January 40 1934, at 11:15 A.M., members present being County Commissioners Johnston, O'Neil and Barnes, County Controller Post and Prothonotary Ernest T. McNary. Motion by Mr. McNary, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the following employees of the Prothonotary's Office be retained for the current year, at the same salaries as heretofore, to -wit: Curtis F. McNary, Deputy Prothonotary, $190.00 per month Russell S.Riggle, clerk, 110.00 " Ruth B. Miller, clerk, 110.00 Margaret T. Russell, clerk, 100.00 Myrtle B. Fetherlin, clerk, 100.00 " Matilda S. McGlade, clerk, 100.00 " » with proviso that any of said clerks may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice, and with the further provision that if necessity arises for employment of addi- tional clerk to aid in Common Pleas Court work, the Prothonotary may employ such clerk, at rate of Four Dollars per diem for time actually employed, anld clerk to be paid from county funds upon presentation of proper certificate. Motion carried. There being no further business before the,Board, the meeting was adjourned. Register and Clerk of Courts, Mr. R. J. Coulson, appeared before the Salary Board and gave notice that the employees in the office of Register of Wills and Clerk of Courts would be retained at the same salaries as heretofore, to -wit: Raymond E. Goodridge, Deputy, $190.00 per month Lucius MeK. Crumrine, Legal Clerk, 180.00 " Hazel V. Bauman, clerk,' 130.00 '" a Thelma W. MacBeth, Clerk, 110.00 LouidE Kinder, Clerk, 100.00 (Tipstaff and Court Stenographer of Orphans' Court under Court order). The Salary Board of the County of Washington remaining in session, motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. Post, that extra employees in any of the depart- ments of the County shall be paid at rate of Three Dollars ($3.00) per diem for time actually employed. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that employees of the road department engaged in actual road work, and in maintenaUm department, shall be retained for the ensuing year, at the same salaries as heretofore, to -wit: George H. Lynch $125.00 per month Harry Crumrine, at rate of $6.00 per diem for time actually employed; other employees who may be called into service shall be paid at same rate per hour as prevailed during past year. (Note: George 3. Chaney to be paid $390.00 per month, in addition to salary of $25.00 per month as County Surveyor). BARNES, COMMISSIONERS R 1 Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the Board adjourn to' meet at the call of the chairman. Motion carried and Board stood adjourned. ---------------------- The Salary Board having to do with the matter of 6zpj1I&yees and salaries in the office of County Controller met in the office of the County Commissioners, Court House, Washington, Pa., on Friday, January 5, 1934, at 4 o'clock P. M. members present being County Commissioners Johnston, O'Neil and ,Barnes and County Controller Mr. John L. Post. Motion by Mr. Post, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the following persons be employed in the office of the County Controller for the ensuing year; E. W, Patton, Deputy County Controller, Thomas H. Pyle, bookkeeper, Jennie Garbinski, clerk and stenographer, J. Albert Reed, solicitor, and that their salaries be fixed as follows: E. W. Patton, Deputy, $190.00 per month. Jennie Garbinski, clerk, 100.00 J. Albert Reed, Solicitor, 125.00 Motion carried. There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. ---------------------- The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County Commissioners, Court House, Washington, Pa., on Friday, January 5, 1934, at 4:15 P.M., at the call of the Chairman, the following members being present: County Commissioners Johnston, O'Neil and Barnes and County Controller Post. i Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr, Post that the salary of Hilda Richards, caretaker womens' rest room, be fixed at $40.00 per month, to become effective Louis G. be fixed $30.00 January 16, 1934, and that the salary of Mosebay at per month, and the salary of Mrs. Yetta Thompson be fixed at $50.00 per month. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. O'Neil, seconded by Mr. Barnes, and duly carried that Board adjourn to meet at the call of the Chairman. Board stood adjourned. ---------------------- i
