BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
J. ELMER JOHNSTON, JOHN N. O'NEIL, W. A. BARNES, COMMISSIONERS
Office of the County Commissioners,
Washington, Pa., January 8, 1934,
Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Johnston,
O'Neil and Barnes.
Motion by Mr. O'Neil, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the sklary of the
Solicitor for Recorder of Deeds, Thomas L. Christman, Esq., be fixed at
$300.00 per annum, payable at rate of $25.00 per month. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.
The Salary Board of the -County of Washington hawing to do with the matter
of salaries and employees in the office of the Recorder of Deeds, met in the
office of the County Commissioners, Court House, Washington, Pa., on Monday,.
January 80 1934, at 3 P.M., members present being County Commissioners Johnston,
O'Neil and Barnes, County Controller Post and Recorder of Deeds, John H.Cooper.
Motion by Mr. Cooper, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, -that the following persons
be recommended as employees in the office of the Recorder of Deeds, and that
their recommendation be eonfiradd; Solicitor, Thomas L. Christman, Esq.$
Deputy Recorder, Bernice Baker, Index Clerk, J. Grace Wilson, Transcribing
Clerks, Irene C. Barbour, Marie Lincoln, Margaret M. Sutherland and Helen R.Hall.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Cooper, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the salaries- of the
persons employed in the office of the Recorder of Reeds be fixed as follows:
Bernice Baker, Doppty Recorder, $170.00 per month
J. Grace Wilson, Index Clerk, 120.00 " "
Transcribing Clerks, to -wit; Irene C. Barbour, Marie
Lincoln, Margaret M. Sutherland and Helen R. Hall,
each $100.00 per month when actually employed.
Motion carried. There being no further business before the Board, the
meeting was adjourned.
