The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the matters•
of salaries and employees of the County of Washington, coming within the juris-
diction of the County Commissioners, net in the office of the County Commissioners,
Court House, Washington, Pa., on Monday, January 7, 19350 at 3:30 P.M., members
present being County Commissioners Johnston, O'Neil and Berryman, County Controller
Post. Chairman Johnston presiding,
Motion by Mr. O'Neill. seconded by Mr. Berryman, that all employees in and
about the Court House and Public Grounds and Buildings, including Superintendent
of Court House, janitors, cleaners, night watchman, care taker of women's rest
rooms, engineer and assistant engineers at boiler rooms, be retained, at same
salaries as heretofore, and that Lawson Johnson, Jr., be appointed janitor of
Orphans' Court floor to succeed Lawson Johnson, Sr., at same salary as paid the
latter, to -*it, $60 per month, and that Fred Reynolds be appointed elevator
operator to succeed W. H. Buffington, at same salary as paid the latter, to -wit,
60 per month, with proviso that any of said employees may be removed upon thirty
days' notice. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the board, the meeting was adjourned.
The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with thef.matter
of salary and employment of stenographer in the office of the County Superintendent
of Schools, met in 'the office of the County Commissioners, Court House, Washington,
Pa., on Monday, January 7, 1935, at 3:45 P.M., members present being County Com-
missioners Johnston, O'Neil and Berryman, County Controller Post and County Super-
intendent S. V. Kimberland. Chairman Johnston presiding.
Motion by Mr. Kimberland, seconded by Mr. Post, that Georgene Morton be re -
twined as stenographer in the office of the County Superintendent of Schools, at
same salary as heretofore, with proviso that this employee may be removed upon
thirty days' notice. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.
The Salary Board of the County OfmWashington reconvened in the office of the
County Commissioners, Court House, Washington, Pa., on Monday, January 7, 1935s
at 4 P.M., members }resent being Counter Commissioners Johnston, O"Neil and Berry-
man, County Controller Post.
Motion by Mr. OtNeil, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the Board adjourn until
Tuesday, January 8, 1935, at 10 A.M.
Motion carried and Board stood adjourned until the hour set.
