BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
J. ELMER JOHNSTON, JOHN N. O'NEIL. W. A. BARNES, COMMISSIONERS
The Salary Board having to do with the employees and salaries in the office
of Coroner, met in the office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., on
Frift:y-v January So 1932s members present being County Commissioners Johnston,
O'Neil and Barnes, County Controller-Woodward,and Wm, B, Baker, Coroner,
Chairman Johnston presiding.
Motion by Mr, Baker, seconded by Mr, Barnes, that Mary McGregor be employed
for the ensuing year as part time clerk in the office of the Coroner. Motion
carried.
Motion by Mr, O'Neil, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the salary of Mary McGregor
as part time clerk in office of Coroner, be fixed at $55.00 per month. Motion
carried.
There being no further business before the Board* it was adjourned.
The Salary Board having to do with the matter of employees,and salaries in
the office of Sheriff, met in the office of the County Commissioners, Washington,
Pa., on _:Friday, January S, 1932, at 3:45 F.M., the following members being pre-
sent: County Commissioners Johnston, O'Neil and Barnes, County Controller Wood-
ward and Sheriff J, A, Seaman.
Chairman Johnston presiding.
Motion by Mr. Seaman, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that'James McCue be.appointed
Chief Deputy in the office of Sheriff for the ensuing year, with proviso that he
might be dismissed upon 30 day's notice, and that his salary be fixed at 200 per
month, Motion carried.
Motion by Mr, Seaman, seconded by Mr. Woodward, that Ola E. Marsh be employed
as stenographer in the office of Sheriff for the ensuing year, with proviso that
she might be dismissed upon 30 day's notice and that Harry D, Hamilton Esq., be
appointed Solicitor. Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Barnes, s000nded by Mr, O'Neil, that the salary of Ola E. Marsh
stenographer in the office of Sheriff, be fixed at 110.00 per month. Motion.
carried. (Mr. Seaman voting "No" and wishing his vote so recorded).
Motion by Mr, Seaman, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the f o�lowing persons be
appointed Deputies in the office of Sheriff for the ensuing years with proviso
that any one of them might be dismissed upon 30 day's notice:-- James Kane, Charle.
Hopkins, Ody C. Abbott. Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the salaries of deputies
this day appointed in office of Sheriff be fixed at $150.00 per month each, to -wit:
James Kane,
Charles Hopkins,
150.00 per month.
