BARNES, COMMISSIONERS Office of the CouAty Commissioners, Washington, Paos January 3, 1928. The *Salary Board having to do with the matter of salaries of the emplyyees of the vapiogeecounty offices , met in the office of the County C6mmissioners on Tuesday; January 3# 1928, at 2:45 P.M., and organized by the election of James W. Walker, Chairman; John G* Hall, Chief Clerk of the County Commissionerss act- ing as Secretary. The Salary Board having to do with salaries in the office of the Register of Wills and Clerk of the Orphan's Court, convened, members predent being County Commissioners Walker, Johnston and Barries , County Controller Underwood and Reg- ister R. J. Coulson, After Discussion of the 'matter of salaries of employees in this office , it was decided it was one to be determined by the Judge of the Orphan's Court* in conjunction with the Register of Wills and Clerk of the Or- phants Court, hence no action was taken by the Board, which adjourned, upon a motion duly made, seconded and carried* The Salary Board having to do with salaries in the office of the Prothono- tary, convened, members present being County Commissioners Walker,, Johnston and Barnes, County Controller Underwood and Prothonotary, E. T. McNary. Motion by Mr* MoNary, seconded by Mr. Underwood, that the following em- ployees be appointed in and for the office of the Prothonotary, to-wit : Ruth Barkley, Matilda Schwartz, Margaret Russell and Russell Riggle, and that their salaries remain the same as during the past year, when all were in the employ of Prothonotary H. E. Pollock. Motion carried. There being no further business before the Board, it was AJ adjourned* ---------------------------------- The Salary Board having to do with salaries in the office of the District Attorn6y, convened, at 3:15 P.M. , members )?resent being County Commissioners Walker, Johnston and Barnes , Controller Underwood and District Attorney Warren S. Burchinal, Motion by Mr. Burchinal, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that Thelma Florian be retained in the office of District Attorney as stenographer, this being the only employee of this office coming under the juriadiction of the Salary Board, and that her salary 'be fixed at $1800 per annum. Motion carried* District Attorney Burchinal, for the information of the Salary Board# pre- vented the names , with salaries granted, of the employees of his office thus far decided upon, as follows :- First Assistant, Russell Moninger, salary $3500 per annum; Donald Hart, Assistant, salary, 13000 per annum; G. Ashton Brownlee# assistant, salary, $1200 per annum. There being no further business before the
