Meeting of Salary Board called for the purpose of fixing salaries of Mrs Hazel Foor, telephone operator at central switchboard, Mrs . Williain Hamilton, assistant and James Kane , Deputy Sheriff, held in office of County Commissioners on Monday, July 16, 1927, members present being County Commissioners Walker, • Johnston and Barnes and Deputy County Controller, M. M. Decker. lotion by :ter. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Barnes , that the salary of Mrs Hazel Foor be fixed at $75-00 per month, beginning June 28, 1928; that the salary of Mrs William Hamilton be fixed at $40.00 per month, beginning July 5th, 1928; that the salary of James Kane, Deputy 33heriffl , be increased from '125.00 per month to $150-00 per month, as of July 1, 1928. Commissioners in regular session, members Present being Messrs . Walker, Johnston and Barnes. The following Resolution was presented, duly seconded and adopted; - WHEREAS, the Department of Highways is about to improve a aeration of high- way in Mt . Pleasant Township, ',ffashington county, Pa. , 181 feet in width, situated as follows ; From the end of the concrete, Station 298 22 near Venice and extend- ing to the 11acadam. Station 410 60 in Hickory, and 'ITIEREAS, it is the desire of the County that this improvement be made for a width greater than that for which provision has been made, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Commissioners °on this 17th day of July,1928, hereby petition the State to make the said improvement for a width of 23t-711& 29f 211 between Stas . 380-35 and 408-f9-20 and be it further ESOLVED, that the County Commissioners agree to enter into a contract i with the contractor to whom the Commonwealth makes award and to pay from the County Funds the total cost and expenses of the PT'& 111-2" feet additional in width� of said improvement and such other improvements as are not covered by the portion to be paid for by the State , enumerated as follows ; Standard and integral con- crete curb, inlets , curb returns , side street intersections and concrete pipe under extra width portion.
