Walker, Johnston and Barnes* Joint meeting of County Commissioners and County Controller at 11:45 A.M. to receive and open bids for the printing and delivery to the office of the County Commissioners of the official and specimen ballots required to be used for the Primary Election to be held on April 24, 1928; present for. County Commissioners , Messrs * Walker, Johnston and Barnes ; Deputy Con- troller Decker present for County Controller; bids from the following firms opened and read in presence of County Commisaioneral . each bid being accom- panied by certified check for $500, as required: Ward Printing Company, Washington, $985.00 Monongahela Pub. Co. , Monongahela, $1605.25 Motion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contract be a- warded to the Ward Printing Company, Washington, at its low bid of $985.00 each of said bids being on basis supplying 70,000 official and 40,000 spec- imen ballotts--- and that Controller be directed to return check of unsuc- cessful bidder.
