Washington, Pa. , May 1, 1928.
Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs*
Walker, Johnston and Barnes.
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Barnes * that County Controller
be requested to advertise for bids on One (1) Dodge Brothers Coupe Brougham, for
use in connection with the office of the Sheriff of Washington County.
Motion carried,
There being no further business before the Board, it2aip adjourned.

Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrso Walker ,
Johnston and Barnes , for the purpose of awarding contracts for the construction
of certain roads upon which bids had been duly received and tabulated; County
Controller Underwood present.
Motion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contracts be
awarded as follows ;
Burgettstown-Eldersville Road No 3 to John Herd at unit price, or bid,
submitted;
Lone Pine-Marianna Road to Thomas Arrigo at unit price, or bid, submitted
Hill Church-EightyFour Road to John Herd at unit price or bid submitted,
3urgettstown-Cross Creek Road No. 2 to Philip De Rienzo , of Payette City,
at unit price , or bid, submitted;
Canonsburg-Thomas Road to A. G. Rothe at unit price, or bid, submitted.

Lotion unanimously carried.
There being no further business before the joint meeting, it was
3oard of County Commissioners in regular session, each member having
had personal notice of the meeting; members present being Messrs . Walker,
Johnston and -6arnes .
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of
the "Jounty of Washington, relative to the issue by the said County of $60, 000.00
in temporary loans was presented, duly seconded and unanimously adopted by said
Board, to-wit;--
WHEREAS, it has become necessary for the said County (Board) to borrow
the sum of $60*000.00 for' the purpose of meeting the current expenses for the
year 192a and for which taxes have been levied but not yet paid into the County
Treasury, nowo therefore*
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of the said
County of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of
current expenses, the proper officers of said County are hereby authorized and
directed to negotiate temporary, loans and issues Notes therefor, payable on
mand, with interest from date; said Notes to be negotiated and issued as follows ;
First Bank & Trust Company, Washington, Pa. , $20,000.00
Washington Trust Company, Washington, Pa. ., 20$000.00
First National Banks Donora, Pa. , 20*000.00
and that the said Notes, are to be paid out of the first funds available to the
County Treasurer from the taxes levied for the current year of 1928.

County of Washington, do hereby certify that I have compared the foregoing
Resolution with the original minutes of the County Commissioners and that the
same Is a true and correct copy of the Resolution adopte,d at a meeting of the
said Board, at, which Messrs. Walker, Johnston and Barnes were present on the

vote of the Commissioners present.
