BARNES,- COMMISSIONERS Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., January 3) 1929. 'I'he Board of County Commissioners met in the office of the County Commissioners, Court House, Washington, Pa., on Thursday, January 3, 19297 for organization, the following members beng present; Commissioners J. W. Walker, J. E. Johnston and W. A. Barnes. The Board proceeded to organize, there being a motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Johnston,, that Mr. Barnes be elected President of the Board for the ensuing year. Motion carried. ,nd and Mr. Barnes declared elected. Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded, by Mr. Johnston, President Barnes in the chair, that John G. Hall, Chief Clerk to County Commissioners, be elected Secretary of the ,Board for the ensuing year. Motion carried and fir. Hall de- clared elected. Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that all employees in the office of the County Commissioners and in all other departments, coming within the jurisdiction of the County Commissioners, be re-elected for the en- suing year, these including the Engineer of Court house, jail and grounds and assistants,, the superintendent of the court house and assistants, including helpers and those employed in cleaning building, the employees at the Detention Rooms on West Beau Street, and at county garage,, with the proviso that upon II thirty day's notice any employee may be retired. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker, that George S. Chaney be re-elected County Engineer and that all employees of that department be retained for the ensuing year, with the proviso that upon thirty day's notice any of said employees may be retired. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker, that John G. Hall be retained as chief clerk to the Commissioners. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Walker, sec,,,nded by Mr. Johnston, that Norman E. Clark, Esq., be retained as solicitor for the County. Motion carried. ------------- J
