Comnissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Barnes,
Johnston and Walker.
The following resolution was presented, duly seconded and unanimously
adopted:-
AS, it is the desire of the Commissioners of the County of Washington
to accept the provisions of the Act of July 1, 19197 P. L. 893, and the amendB
ments thereto, approved May 17, 19219 0. L. 1175 -and May 221, 1923 P. L. 307, com-
monly known as the Mothers ' Assistance Bund Act. and to make same effective in
said County,, and to appropriate from the funds of the County of Washington for
the purpose of carrying said Act into effect a sum of money equal to the amount
apportioned to the County of Washington from the appropriation made by the
Legis4ture, under the provisions of the Act approved April 28,, #367-
VaMTTAS, it has been ascertained by the said County Commissioners that
the amount of such apportionment to Washington County, under said Act for the
period commencing June 1, 1929 and ending May 311) 1931 in Fifty thousand, nine
hundred thirty nine and 54/100 dollars ($50,939-54) .
Therefore be it resolved by Messrs. Barnes, Johnston and Walker, Com-
missioners of the County of Washington that a like sum, to wit, the sum of Fifty
thousand, nine hundred thirty nine and 54/100 dollars ($50,939.54) be and the
same is hereby appropriated from the general funds of the County of Washington
to the Trustees of the Mothers Assistance Fund of said County, to be disbursed
by the said Trustees in accordance with the provisions of the Acts aforesaid.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned.
