Commissioners in regular session, members present being "Iessrs. Barnes,
Walker and Johnston;
The following Resolution was presented, duly seconded and adopted;-
WHERM, the County of Washington has appliedfdw the aid and copopera-
tion of the State in the reoon- struc or improvement of Section No. 5 of
State Highway Route No. 118, lying within the townships of West Bethlehem
and the Boroughs of Ellsworth and Cokeburg# said road being situated as fol-
lows ;-
From a point in Ellsworth Borough approximately 0;33 miles east of the
Ellsworth Borough-Somerset Township line, at station 1902 plus 68 to the in-
terseation. with' the National Pike in West Bethlehem Township, approximately
1.0 mile west of Scenery Hill, at Station 2097 plus 00, Application No. 5911,
now, JiZ IT RESOLVED, that the said County of Washington agrees to pay
fifty (50) per oentum of the cost of such improvement* and that the County
Commissioners be authorized to enter into an agreement with the Secretary
of Highways , on behalf of the Commonwealth* providing for such payment.

Walker and Johnston.
The following Resolution was presented, duly seconded and adopted;
WHEREAS, the County of Washington has applied for the aid and coopera-
tion of the State in the reconstruction or improvement of a certain section
of public road, lying within the Township of Robinson, as a state-aid highway,
in accordance with provisions of Acts of Assembly in such case made and pro-
f f said road being situated as follows :-
From a point on the McDonald-Midway Road 100 feet east of Abele Creek,
Station plus 00, to a point near Montour No. 9 mine of the Pittsburgh Coal
li Company Station 104 plus 00. Application No. 5763, now,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the County of Washington agrees to pay to the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania the approximate sum of $55,,289.09 towards the
cost of said improvement and that the County Commissioners be authorized to
enter into an agreement with the Secretary of Highways , on behalf of the
Commonwealth, providing for such payment.

Commissioners in regular session, all members present; The following
Resolution was presented, duly seconded and adopted;-
RESOLVIM, That the County of Washington contribute the sum of $5000
per mile, from current revenues, towards the improvement of a certain highway
in Morris Township, Situate as follows; Beginning at the residence of B. C.
McCarrell and extending one and one-half mile towards East Finley Township
line, being about 7920 feet in length, as per petition presented by the Road
Supervisors of Morris Township, asking for aid in the improvement of said high-
way, in accordance with Acts of Assembly in suah oases made and provided.
The following Resolution was presented,, duly seconded and adopted;
RFZOLVZD* that the County of Washington enter into a Bond, to be duly
executed by the Board of County Commissioners , with the Department of Highways,
to keep the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania harmless from all suits , actions or
penalties and damages which may arise by reason of the laeation,, or relocation,
of the improved State, County, Township , State-aid Highway in the Township
of Robinson, at a point on the McDonald-Primrose Road at the Lutheran Church
property, northwardly by way of Shaw mine property, a distance of 10560 feet;
more or less.
The following Resolution was presented, duly seconded and adopted;-
RESOLVJED, That-*n agreement be entered into, between the County of Was h-

ington$ and the Manufacturer's Light & Heat Company, a corporation,, 'granting
permission to the latter to construct a 12" gas line aerosa an improved brick
road in Robinson Township, from McDonald to Alleghopy County line, a distance
of 33 feet, more or less , a Bond for the faithful performance of all provisions
of said Agreement to be given to -the said County of Washington, by the Second
party, and made a part of said Agreement.
There being no further business before the Board, it was adjourned.
