County Commissioners in joint session to open bids for construction
and erection of metal equipment in the office of Register of Wills; bids from
following concerns opened and read in presence of officials:--
Washington Typewriter & Office Equipment Co.,,
Art fetal Co., represented by Ward Printing Co., -"?;,200.00
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Underwood, that action on
awarding contract be deferred until a later date. Motion carried. There being
no further business before the joint meeting, it was adjourned.

Motion by 1�rx. Darnes, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the County Treasurer
be directed to transfey with the approval of the County Controller, the sum of
One Hundred Thousand ($1001000.00) Dollars from the Road Funds of the County of
',';ashington, to the General Fund of said County, for the purpose of meeting ex-
penses of the County,, Motion unanimously carried.

Commissioners in regular session,, members present being Messrs.
Barnes, Johnston and Walker.
Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that County Controller
be requested to advertise for bids for the construction of the following bridges;
-Hopper Arch, Chartiers
Canonsburg Water Works Bridge, Uhartiers �;reek No. 14;
Creek No. 3; plans, specifications and proposal blanks to be obtained at the
office of the Uounty Engineer, Uourt house, washington, Pa. Motion carried.

Motion, by Ur. Walker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that County Controller
be requested to advertise for bids for one full revolving crawler type Gasoline
Shovel, with standard boom and bucket approximately one-half cubic yard capacity;-
also, for one 120 cubic foot air compressor mounted on 4 steel wheels with jack
harmer attachment. Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contract for con-
structioa and erection of metal equipment in the office of Register of Wills,
bids for which were opened and read on ' arch 21,, 1929, be awarded to the Art
Metal Company, through local representative,, the Ward Printing Company, at the
price submitted by said Art Metal Company, of $2200.00. Motion carried.
