Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Johnston,
Walker and Barnes.

Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. Walker, that County Controller be
requested to advertise for bids for printing and delivering to office of County
Commissioners approximately 80,000 official party ballots and 44,000 specimen part
ballots for use at Spring Primary of 1930, specifications to be seen at office of
County Commissioners; abd that the County Controller, be requested to advertise
for bids for furnishing primary election supplies, tally sheets, retirn sheets,
lists of voters., records of assisted voters, copies of Uniform Primary Laws,
penalty sheets, return envelopes as required, pens, pencils, etc. , rte. , all such
supplies to be assembled in proper quantities and boxed in heavy card board boxes,
in following quantities; 161 such boxes for use in boroughs and townships;
28 such boxes for use in cities of the 3rd class; requirements to be made known
at office of County Commissioners. Motion carried,

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, each member having had
personal notice of meeting, members present being Messrs. Johnston, Walker and
.Oarnes.
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Washington, relative to the issue by the said County of $40,000.00
in temporary loans was presented, duly seconded and unanimously adopted by said
Board, to wit: -
WHEREAS, it has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum
$40,000.00, for the purpose of meeting cureent, expenses for the year 1930 and
for which taxes have been levied but not yet paid into the County Treasury,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County
of Washington, for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current
expenses., the proper officers of the said County are hereby authorized to nego-
tiate temporary loans and issue Notes therefor, payable on demand, with interest
from date, said Notes to be negotiated and issued as follows;-
McDonald Savings & Trust Co., McDonald, $100000..00
Farmers & Miners National Bank, Bentleyville, 59000.00
First National Bank, McDonald., 25;9000000
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.
