Office of the County Commissioners,
Washington, Pa. , April 14, 1930.
Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Johnston
and Barnes; Joint meeting with County Controller at 11:15 to open bids for
printing and delivering official and specimen ballots for use at Spring Primary
of 1930; present for County Commissioners, Messrs. Johnston and Barnes; for
County Controller, Mr. Woodward; Meeting also to receive and open bids for
supplying tally sheets, return sheets, etc. , etc., required to be used at said
Spring Primary; bids for ballots opened in presence of County Commissioners
from following;
Ward Printing Company, Washington, $835.00
Derrick Pub. Co. , Oil City, 980.00
each bid being accompanied by certified check, as required.
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Woodward, that contract for printinE
ballots be awarded to Ward Prin#ing Company, at its low bid of $835.00.
Bids for furnishing tally sheets, etc. , and other election supplies, opened
in presence of County Commissioners from following:-
William G. Johnston Co, , Pgh, $436.35
and same Carm offered to furnish Computing Books, etc. , for price of $71.00
Bid accompanied by certified check, as requir6&w Motion by Mr. Johnston,, see-
onded by Mr. Woodward, that contracts for election supplies and computing books
be awarded to Wm G. Johnston Co., at bid submitted, and that Controller return
check of unsuccessful bidder.
There being no further busines before the Board, it was adjourned.
