The Board of County Commissioners met in the office4 of the County Com- �
missioners, Court House, Washington, 'Pa., on Monday, J�anw.ary 5, 19310 for
organization, the following members being present; Commissioners J. Be Johnston
J. W. Walker and W. A. Barnes. The Board proceeded to organise upon motion �
by Mr. balker, seconded by Mr. Barnes,B that the officers of the past year be
continued, viz,* Mr. J. E. Johnston, President and John Go Hall, Chief Clerk �
of the Board, Secretary. 140t.ion carried} and the said offices were declared
elected.
Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that all employees in the
office of the County Commissioners and in all other departments coming within
the jurisdiction of the County Comni.ssionera, be re-elected for the ensuing
gear, these including the Engineer of Court House, Jail and grounds and assis-
tantop the superintendent of Court House and assistante, including helpers and
those employed in cleaning building, operator of elevator, the employees at
detendtion rooms on West Beau Street and at county garage, George S. Chaney,
County Engineer and all employees of that department, with the proviso that
upon thirty days notice any of said employees may be retired. Motion carried,
There being nonfurther business before the Board, the meeting was de-
clared adjourned.

Monday, January 50 `1931, at 12 o'clock Noon,. the following members being
present; County Commissioners J. E. Johnston, J. W. Walker and W. A. Barnes and
County Controller Guy Woodward.
Motion by Mr. Woodward, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the Board organise i
for the ensuing year with the same officers that served during the past year.,
viz, Mr. J. E. Johnston., Chairman and John G. Hall, Chief Clerk of County
Commissioners, Secretary. Motion carried,
