Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Johnston,

Walker and Barnes.
Motion by Mr. talker, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the rate of Nation
upon the valuations of the properties of the County, in order to raise suffi-
eient revenues to meet required expenditures for the year 1931, be fixed at
I
eight and one-half (8j) mills, which will make payment- of taxes to the amount
of eighty-five (85) cents upon each one hundred dollars of assessed valuation
of real estate and occupations.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, each member having
i had personal notice of meeting, members present being Messrs. talker, Johnston j
and Barnes.
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Washington, relative , to the issue by the said County of $25,000.00
in temporary loans was presented, duly seconded and unanimously adopted by
said Board, to-wit:-
WHEREAS, it has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of
$25,000.00 for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1930 and

for which takes have been levied but not yet paid into the County Treasury,
now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVEl7, by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County j
of Washington, for the purpose 'of providing funds for the payment of current
expenses, the proper officers of the said County are hereby authorised and
directed to negotiate temporary loans and issue Notes therefor, payable on
demand, with interest from date, said Notes to be negotiated and issued as 1
follows:-
Charleroi Savings & Trust Co., Charleroi, $250000.00
