Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs,
Johnston., Walker and Barnes:-
Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. Walker, that an appropriation of
$100 be made to Ernest Phillips Post No. 485, McDonald, Pasp to help bear
expenses incurred by said Post in Memorial Day observance. Motion carried.

RESOLUTION.

WHEREAS.. the funds in the treasury of the County of Washington are at
this time inadequate to satisfy and pay the current expenses, costs, debts or
liabilities that are now payable, or are to presently become payable, and in
order to pay the same it has become necessary to make a loan of approximately j
One hundred thousand-------------------------------( 100,000) Dollars; and

AREAS, the Count Commissioners have determined to borrow the said sum
of one hundred thousand ( 100,000) ----------Dollars, upon the notes of said
County issued in anticipation of the taxes to be levied and collected during the

year 1931, which said taxes will be more than of n pay
and interest of the said loan of One hundred thousand ($100,000) Dollars,

NOW$ THEREFORE� BE IT RESOLVED: �
1. County of Washington, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, shall borrow
One hundred Thousand ( 100,000)---------Dollars in anticipation of taxes to be
levied and collected by said County during the year 1931.
2. Said loan shall be secured by notes in substantially the form here-
inafter set forth, to be dated August 10 1931, to be payable
-----to bearer------
atthe office of Graham, Parsons & Co., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
and to bear interest at the rate of four and one-half (4j) per cent per annum. I
Said notes shall be in the following denominations; two(2) notes in the principal
amount of $50,000.00 each.

j 3. Said notes shall be executed by the County Commissioners, with the
seal of the County thereto affixed, duly attested by the Commissioner's Clerk, {
and shall be paid as recited therein on their respective maturity dates out of
taxes levied and collected in the year 1931.
4. Said notes shall be in substantially the following form:
$50,000.00
For value received, the County of Washington, Commonwealth of Pennsyl-
vania, acknowledges itself indebted, and promises to pay to bearer at the office
of Graham, Parsons & Co. , Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the sum of Fifty Thousand
( 500000.00) Dollars on with interest thereon at the rate of four and
one-half (4j) per cent. per annum. This note has been duly authorised by resolu-
tion of the County Commissioners of the County of Washington, duly adapted on j
the 29th day of July; 1931, and is issued in antiaipation of and payable ftthoffE 1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the County of Washington has caused this note to
be executed b its Commissioners with the seal of the County hereunto affixed, duly
