Joint meeting of�` bounty Commissioners and County Controller at 12 1
M. to open bids for construction of approach to Avolla Bri4ge; present for County
C. ssi*nors , Messrs. Johnston and Walker; present for Controller, Mr. Underwood;
bids opened in presence of County Commissioners from following;

John Herd, $1,15 per yard,

Goo. F. Temple, 1.25 of
Hardy & Rankin, 1.35
DgLoyd Thompson, 1.25 "
B. C. & L. M. Clutter, 1.45 " each bid being
accompanied by check for $50.00, as required,
Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, and carried, that
County Controller be requested to return checks to all bidders excepting John a
Hord and that action on awarding contract to lowest bidder be deferred until after
consultation with Road Supervisors of Independence Township,
There being no further business before the joint meeting, it was

Motion by Mr, Walker, seconded by Mr, Barnes, that contract 'for
construction of approach to the Avella Arch be awarded to John. Hord, at his bid
of $1.15 per cubic yard, it being estimated that there will be probably some
4000 yards, more or less, the construction to be started at once,
