June 25, 1924, RESOLUTION OF COUNTY WHEREAS. It is provided by Act of Assembly approved mar 31 , 19119 P. L. 4689 that the Secretary of Highways, with respect to any State-aid Highway Contract *hall certify to the State Treasurer and to the officials of the re- spective county, , township or borough concerned therewith from time %a time dur- ing the performance of the work any sum or .sums due from said county, township or borough on the cost of such improvement, and WHEREAS, The County of Washington has applied for the aid and cooperatiori of the State in the reconstruction or improvement of a certain sec- tion of State Highway Route No. 118, lying within the Borough of Bentleyville, in the *am* manner an a State-Aid Highway in accordance with�tho provisions of the Act of May 17 : 1917, P. M. , members present being County Commissioners, Johnston, Walker and Barnes; 'Recorder August Valentour; County Controller Underwood hating notice of meeting, but absent. ' Chairman Johnston presided. Recorder Valentour stated that by reason of the resignation of Deputy Recorder MoBurney it had become necessary for his to appoint a successor to b1s , and to rearrange the clerkships in his office and that he had appointed Mrs. Vesta Miller to be Deputy Recorder and had advanced Alan Helen Mc$ary to the position of Index Clerk and had appointed hiss Bernice faker to the position of Clerk; f Mr. Valentour then made a motion that the salaries of Deputy'Recorder acid clerks j be arranged as follows; Mrs. Vesta Miller, Deputy,Reoorder, 025.00 per month; Miss Helen MoBaryo Index Clerk, 125,00 " " Miss Ruth Galbraith, Clerk 115.00 " " Doss Bernice Baker, Clerk, 115.00 M " i motion seconded by Mr. Walker and carried unanimously.
