Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs.
Johnston, Walker and Barnes.
Motion by Mr. Walke6!,'Nseconded by Mr. Barnes, that Isaac W. Baum
be elected Solicitor for the offices of County Treasurer, Register of
Wills and Ex-officia'Clerk of the Orphans' Court, Prothonotary, Recorder G
of Deeds, Clerk of the Court of Quarter Sessions and Coroner. Motion
unanimously carried.
There being no further business before the Beard, it was adjourned.

The SALARY BOARD having to do with salaries of county employees
in and about the court house met in the office of the County Commis-
sioners on Friday, January 11, 1924, at 2:40 P, M,, following members
being present; County Commissioners Johnston, Walker and Barnes, County
Controller Underwood.
Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the salaries
of the following employees, duly appointed by County Commissioners on
January 9, 1924, be fixed for the ensuing year, as indicated, to --wit;
H. 2. McCutchen, Superintendent, $150 per month; Louis G. Mosebay,
Assistant Superintendent, $130 per month; J. H. McCormick, Engineer,
$160 per month; J. H. McNary, Assistant Engineer, $135 per month; A.B..
Malcolm, Fight Watchman, $100 per month; Iva Brooks, Matron of rest room,
$50 per month; women employed as cleaners about court house, to -wit; Mrs.

Reed, $50 per month; Mrs Jessie Fraikes, $50 per month; Mrs. Emma

Alexander, $60 per month; Mrs. Yetta Thompson, $60 per month; Donnas
Alexander, $50 per month; Mrs. Anna Wyland, 50 per month. Amendment to
motion offered by Mr. Underwood, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the salaries'
of the first give (5) indicated in above schedule be subject ter ac 4e*
vision of the Court, said decision -now pending. Amendment carried. Motion
as amended duly presented, seconded and unanimously carried.

Kimberland, be paid a salary of $125 per month for the ensuing year. question rv;
called for; voting "Aye" , Messrs. Walker and Barnes; voting "No" Messrs.
Underwood and Johnston. A TIN.
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that Miss George Holmes,
stenographer in office of County Superintendent of Schools Kimberiand be paid
a salary of $110 per month for the ensuing year. Motion unanimously carried,
Motion by Mr. Underwood, seconded by Mr. Walker, that Glenn Brady, an
employee of the County Road Department be retained as such employee at one-half
(} salary. Motion unanimously carried,
Motion by Mr. Underwood, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the Board adjourn.
Motion unanimously carried and Boars! adjourned.

The Salary Board, having to do with salaries of county employees that come
under the jurisdiction of the County Commissioners, met in the office of the
County Commissioners, in adjourned meeting, on Monday, Janua17-21, 1924, at 5:30
P. M., following members being present; County Commissioners Jeboston, Walker
and Baru~and County Controller Underwood,
Motion by Mr, Walker, seconded by Mr, Johnston, that thoboalary*of Leo
Maloney, voucher clerk in office of County Commissioners, be fixed at $150 per
month, that the salaries of hiss Monnis Sutherland and Mrs. R, M. Taylor, clerks
in office of County Commissioners, be fixed at $125 each per month and that the
salary" of Harry Wolfe, an employee of the Road Department, be fixed at $165 per
month, herety repealing or rescinding the action of this Board at its meeting on
January 8th, 1924, when the salary of Harry' Wolf aforesaid was fixed at $150 per
month, 40ostion called for; voting "Aye" Messrs. Walker, Johnston and Barnes;
voting "No", Mr. Underwood. Motion carried,
