Meeting of Salary Board having to do with salaries of employees in the office of the County Commissioners met .in the office of -the County -Commissioners on Tuesday, April 29 , 19240 the following members being present; County .Commis- sioners Johnston, Walker and Barnes; County Controller Underwood, Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes that the salary, of Earl Amos, employed as a clerk in the' office of the County Commissioners, be fixed at $125.00 per month, beginning with April 1, 1924. Motion carried, There being no further business before the Board, it stdod adjourned.- ( SIGNED) COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. Johnston, Walker and Barnes, Motion by Mr, Barnes, seconded by Mr. Walker,, that the contweet for construction of McMurray Road, #4, be .let to Hardy & Rankin, Canonsburg, at their bid of $74486.85. Carried. Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by fir. Walker, that the contract for construction of McClane Bridge-Meadowlands Road be let to W. K. Reed & Co, : Waynesburg, st their bid of $45474.60.. Carried. Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Walker, that the contract for construction of Houston-McConnellts Mills Road be let to W. K. Reed & CIO* #* Waynesburg, at their bid of $52667-50. • Motion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Walker, that the contract for • construction of Hill Church-McMurray Road be let to John Herd, at his bid—of $83509.60, this being the second lowest *bid submitted for this road, but the lowest bidders., Messrs. Hardy & Rankin, already having heavy contracts with the county and other work under construction, is not deemed to. be' in position to c*Vlete this contract during the coming summer, hence the reason for awarding contraot, to Jobe Herd, next lowest bidder, as above set forth. Motion carried.
