HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - - 5-28-1924 - COMMISSIONER!340 MINUTE BOOK LJOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA J ELMER JOHNSTON, JAMES W WALKER, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis-ioners of the said County of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses, the proper officers of the said county are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate temporary loans and issue notes therefor, payable on demand, with interest from date; said notes to be negotiated and issued an follows : Names of Institutions: Amount Washington Trust CoMEEZ $ 25000 Citizens Trust Co. , Canonsburg $ 22000 and that the said notes be paid out of the first funds available to the County Treasurer from the taxes levied for the current year of 1924, Commissioners in regular session, members preseht being Messrs. Johnston, Walker and Barnes. Motion by Mr. Johnston, sec(mded by Mr. -Oarnes, that County Treasurer be directed to transfer, with approval of County Controller, the sum i of Twonty-five Thousand ( $25,000) Ljoliars from the Road Fund moneys of the County of Washington into the General Fund of the County of Washington for the purpose of meeting current expenses; ;the said sum of Twenty-five Thousand ( $25 ,000) Dol- lars, to be returned to the Road Fund from the first tax monies received and which have already been levied.
