The Salary Hoard having to do with the matter of salaries in and for the office of Recorder of Deeds was called in session by Recorder August Valentbur on Zuly 10, 19 24, and met in the office of the County Commissioners on said date, Thursday, July 10, 1924, at 11:30 A. M., the following members being present ; County Commissioners Johnston, Walker and Barnes; Recorder August Valentour ; Chairman Johnston presiding. Motion by Mr. Valentour, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the salaries of Mrs. Vesta Killer, Miss Helen ReRary, Miss Ruth Galbraith and Miss Bernice Baker, fixed at meeting of this Board held on July 3, 1924, ahould be effective as of :Tune let., 1924, that being the date upon which the said employees of the Recorderfi office undertook the work of the.new positions to which they had been appointed. Motion unanimously carried. There being no further business before the meeting, it stood adjourned. From the Minutes; A True Copy; Attest; Secretary. Johnston and Barnes; Mr. Walker having notice of meeting, but absent. Motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that the County Treasurer be authorised to transfer, with the approval of the county Controller, the sum of Mighty -five Thousand -Dollars ($85,000.00) from the Road Funds of the County of Washington to the General Funds of stid County, for the purpose of meeting cur- rent expenses of the said County, the sum thus transferred to be returned to the Road Funds of the County from payments of taxes already levied, question called for; voting "Aye" Messrs.
