Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs . Johnston, talker and 13arnes . lotion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes , that County Controller be requested to advertise for bids for printing and delivering to office of -ounty Commissioners approximately 75,000 official ballots and 15, 000 specimen ballots for use at general election of 1924 ; specifications for said ballots to be seen at office of -ounty Commissioners . Johnston, W-alker and Barnes . emotion by Mr. Walker , seconded by Mr. Barnes , that County Treasurer Ef be authorized to transfer, with approval of County -ontroller, the sum of Seventy-five Thousand 475, 000) Dpllars from the General Funds of the' County of Washington to the Road Fund of said County. Decker; bids from following concerns opened in presenee of County Commissioners , each bid accompanied by 'required certified check; Ward Printing Company, $2900.00 Derrick Publishing Company, 2183.00 Robinson Print Shop, 2865.-18 Motion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Johnston, that bid forprinting and delivering of ballots , as per specifications , be awarded to the Derrick Publishing Company, the lowest and best bidder, at its bid of $2183. 00, and that certified checks be returned at once to unsuccessful bidders . question called for; voting "Aye" Messrs . Barnes and Johnston. Motion carried. There being no further business before the joint session, it was adjourned. SIGNED A COU TTY C01MIISSIONERS . The Salary Board, having to do with salaries in the office of the County Commissioners met in the office of the County Commissioners on Friday, Oct- 3, 1924, at 11 :45 A. M. , at the call of the County Commissioners ; members present being Messrs . Johnston, Walker and Barnes and County Controller Underwood. Motion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Johnston, that Mrb . Robison, -kisses Davis , Caton and Marsh, employed in the office of County Commis ioners in * the capacity of extra employees, engaged upon 'making of registration lists , be paid at rate of $3-50 per them for the number of days they are this necessarily employed.
