East Pike Run and the Boroughs of Elco and Coal Center
in the same manner as a State-aid highway, in accordance with the providons
of the Act of May 17, 1917, P. L. 235, said road being situated as follows :
From the end of Aoute No. 268, Section 51 Washington County, approxi-
mately 1800 feet west of Roscoe-Elco Boroughline , at Station No. 1623-30 to
the bridge over Pike Run at the end of Route No. 268, Section No. 6, near Calif-
fornia Borough, at Station No. 1784-35-3 , Application No. 2896-A.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said Count3&, of Washington
pay to the State Treasurer its prpportionate share of the oust of suchiimprove-
ment, to --v4,t, , fifty (50) per centum thereof, within ten(10) days aftererecei#t
from time to time during the performance of the work, of certification from khe
Secretary of Highways showing the amount of work performed and the material
furnished by the contractor having the said contract in charge, and that the
Commissio-hers of said county, or a majority of them, be authorized to enter into
an agreement with the Secretary of Highways. on behalf of the Commonwealth pro-
viding for such payment in the manner aforesaid. Above resolution duly pre-
sented, seconddd and adopted by the County Commissioners of Washington County at
Washington,, Pa. , this 17th dwj of April, 1925.
THEREAS, it is provided by Act of Assembly approved May 31, 1911,
P. L. 468, that the Secretary of Highways , with respect to any state-aid highway
contract, shall certify to the State Treasurer and to the offi-cials of the re-
spective county, township or borough concerned therewit, from time to time
during the performance of the work, any sum or sums due from said county, town-
ship or borough on the cost of such improvement, and
WHEREAS, the County of Washington has applied for the aid and co-
operation of the State in the reconstruction or improvement of a certain section
of State Highway Route No. 268, Section No. 5, lying within the Township of Allen,
and the Boroughs of Stockdale, Roscoe and Elco
in the same manner as a State-aid highway, in accordance with the provisions
of the Act of May 17, 1917, P. L. 235, said road being situated as follows :
Frox the end of concrete on Route No. 268, Section 4, at Station
No. 1541-05 to a point about 175 feet west of the intersection of Lincoln Alley
with the relocated Route 268 in Elco Borough, at Station No. 1623-30,
Application No. 2896.
NOW THMFORS, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said County of Washington
pay to the State Treasurer its proportionate share of the cost of such improve-
ment, to wit, fifty (50) per centum thereof, within ten(10) days after receipt
from time to timr -during the performance of the work, of certification from the
Secretary of Highways sjiowing the amountoof work performed and the material fur-
nished by the contractor having the said contract in charge, and that the oorm
issiQners of said County, or a majority of them, be authorized .to enter into an
agreement with the Secretary of Highways on behalf of the Cormonwealth providing

for such payment in the manner aforesaid. Above resolution duly presented,
seconded and adopted by the County Commissioners of Washington County at
Washington, Pa. , this 17th day of April, 1925.
WHEREAS, it is provided by Act' of Assembly approved ILaY 31, 1911, P.L

ing the performance of the work, any sum or sums due from said County, township
or borough on the cost of such improvement, and
WHEREAS, the County of Washington has applied for the aid arxi co-oper-
ation of the State in the reconstruction or improvement of a certain section of
State Highway Route No. 242, Section No. 1, lying within the tewldhips of
Hopewell and Independence and the Borough of West liddletown,
in the same manner as a State-aid highway, in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Act of May 17, 1917, P. L. 235, said road being situated as
follows :
From the intersection of Mt. Hope Church Road in West Middletown
Borough, at Itation 627-90 to the beginning of concrete pavement at intersection
of road ti Independence , at Station 724-48, Application No.2897-
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said County of Washington
pay to the State Treasurer its proportionate share of the cost of such improve-
ment, to-wit, fifty (50) per centum thereof, within ten (10) days after receipt
from time to time during the performance of the work, of certification from the
Secretary of highways showing the amount of work performed and the material
furnished by the contractor having the said contract in charge, and that the
Commissioners of said k%ounty, or a majority of them, be authorized to enter into
an agreement with the Secretary of Highways on behalf of the commonwealth pro-
viding for such payment in the manner aforesaid. Above resolution duly pre-
sented, second�,A and adopted by the County Commissioners of Washington County at
Washington, Pao , this 17th day of April 1925.
