50, be deferred until a later date, pending investigation of certain matters
in connection therewith, and that the County Controller be directed to
return checks of unsuccessful bidders on the projects upon which contract were
this- day awarded, retaining all checks and bids on the projects upon which con-
tracts were not awarded.

Blainsburg Road and Swart Bridge Arch, letting having been deferred from
recent meeting, be let as follows :-Blainsburg Road to Petriello Brothers , at
the sum of $28,018.40 and the Swart Bridge Arch to Dickey & Saxon, at their
bid of $18,821.21. question ca#led for; voting "Aye" Messrs. Walker and
Johnston. lotion carried.

Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that County Treasurer
be directed to transfer, with approval of Gounty 'Controller, the sum of
Seventy-five thousand ($75,000-00) Dollars from the Aoad Fund of the County
of Washington to the General Fund of said county, for the purpose 6f
meeting current expenses of the said County.
Motion unanimously carried.

Deputy Controller.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.

Motion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contractfOr
priAting, `binding and delivering Assessment Books and Field Books be awarded
.to Ward printing Company at its bid of $319.00 anal that certified checks '
Acdompanying bids of unsuccessful bidders be returned to them by the County
CoAtrdl.ler. Motion unanimously carried.

Tho lollpwing Resolution was duly presented, seconded and unanimouelym_
adopted;
AS, it is provided by Act of Assembly approved MAY 31, 1911,
P. I,. 468,, that the Secretary of Highways, with respect, to any State-aid
Highway contract shall certify to the State Treasurer and to the officials
r of ,the respective county, township or borough concerned therewith froatkne
to time during the performance of the work any scam or sums due from said
*9uuty# ,township or borough on the cost of such improvement, and
+T , the County of Washington has applied for the aid and co-
operation, of the State in the reconstruction or improvement of a certain
seatiQn, of State Highway Route No 118 lying within the Boro of Ellsworth as
a State—*id Highway in accordance with the provisions of the dat of May 31,
468 and its supplements and amendments, and Act of May 17, 1917,
