D. 1925, that a special election will be held on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November, A. D. 1925, between the hours of 7 A. M. and 7 P. M. at the usual voting place or places for hold- ing general and municipal elections in said County by the regular election officers, for the purpose of obtaining the assent of the qualified electors of said County to an increase in the bonded indebtedness of said County of Washington. election is: The question to be submitted to the electors at said special "Shall the bonded indebtedness,of the County of Washington, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, be increased in and by the amount of Two Million'($2,000,000-00) Dollars for the purpose of providing funds for pav- manently improving, repairing and maintaining the public roads and highways in in the County of Washington as provided by the Acts of Assembly of May 11, 1911, P. L. 468, and the amendments thereof and the supplements thereto-" The corporate authorities of said County by resolution approved and duly adopted signfied and expressed their desire for such increase of indebtedness. The amount of the last assessed valuation of taxable property in said County is. $181,931,230-00 The total amount of the present actual debt of said County is- 3,473,*000-00 The dm6uktaafutheoproesedotnetdase in the indebtedness of said County is- 2,000,000.00 The percentage of the proposed increase in the indebtedness of said County (computed upon the last assessed valuation) is 0109 plus per centum. On motion of Mr. Walker, seconded by,-,,Mr4'LtBabpeitT.therfoilotiing resolution was unanimously adopted, Messrs, Johnston, Walker and Barnes voting in the affirmative: A resolution signifying and expressing the desire of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington in the Commonwealth df Pennsylvania, to increase the indebtedness of said County by the amount of Two billion ($2,000,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of providing funds for per- man`ently improving, repairing and maintaining the public roads and bl ys;.n in the County of Washington as provided by the Acts of Assembly of May 11, *118 P. L. 244 and May 31, 1911, P. L. 468, and the amendments thereof and supple- ments thereto. Whereas, it is necessary that the bonded indebtedness of the County of Washington, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, be increased for the purpose of providing funds for permanently improving, repairing and maintaining the public roads and highways in the County of Washington as provided ity the Ants of Assembly of May 11, 1911, P. Johnston, Walker and Barnes voting in the affirmative: Resolution authorizing an election on the question of increasing the indebtedness of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, by the amount of $2,000,000.00 for the purpose of providing funds for permanently improving, repairing and maintaining the public roads and highways in the County of Washington as provided by the Acts of Assembly of May 11, 1911, P. L. 244, and May 31, 1911, P. L. 468, and the amendments thereof and aup- plements thereto. A meeting of the 4oint board of County Commissioners of Vashingt*n and Fayette 'Counties was held at Belle Vernon October 22, 1925 at which all members were present together with County Engineers Clemmer and Chaney. The engineers reported that the piers of the Be'lle Vernon Bridge were In iiAsafe.lcondition and recommended that immediate steps be taken,for the nec- e94itry repairs. On motion of Mr. Johnston, seconded by',Xr. Langley the engin- III eers were instructed to prepare plans and specifications for this work and
