xesolved by the Uounty Commissioners of Washington County,
Pennsylvania, that they deem it expedient to improve, under the provisions of
the Act of Assembly of said Commonwealths apitroved JEW 11, 1911s the following
described section of one of the main roads or highwayil '* t%14 said County,

to-wit:
A potion of the road known as the Hickory-Yonice road, leading
from the village of hickory to the Tillage of Venice, beginning at the eastern
end of the present township brick road in lit• Pleasant Township and extending

to the- tovnehip line between Mt. Pleasant ,Township and Cecil Township, a distance
of 8000 feet, more or less, all of said road being in It. Pleasant Township.
} That an application for the approval of such improvemnt be

in temporary loans was presented, duly seconded and .unanimously adopted by said

THERSAS, it has bleome necessary for the said board to borrow the
sum of $100,000.00 for the purpose of meeting ourrent expenses fer the year 1925
and -for which taxes to be levied have' not yet been paidjknta the Count Treasury,

and directed to negotiate temporary loans and issue Notes thereforo payable an d,

the office of the County commissioners, at the call of Register 'wohn Aikex,p on
February 10, 1925; all members of the board present.
Motion by YAr. Aiken, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the salary-
of Mrs. Baughman, until now employed as temporary clerk In the office of Register
of Wills and clerk of the Orphans' Courts be fixed at $1400 per annum, Using r
February 1, 1925, and that she be regularly employed in said office, her emlop.
