Johnstoh.- Walker and Barnes :- Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Baxnee,,. that County Controller be requested to advertise for bids for the purchase of & .Xational Cash Register No. 2257 (ii)--6F, oak finish, equipped with 23 individual totals and 2 ad- ditional totals , to automatically total the 23 totals , register to have 6 cash drawers arranged in single tier, with individual total for each drag, to be electrically operated and arranged on floor cabinet, for use in tike office of the County Treasurer, Court House, Washington, Pa. The County Engineer having presented to the Commissioner* thbetab- ulationq of bids receivqd and opened on June 8. 1925, for the construction of certain roads and bridges, motion was made by Mr. Walker,, seconded b3 Mr. Barnes , that contracts be awarded as follows :- Bealloville-Zollareville Road, #3, to John Hard, Washington Pa. , at sum of 27,844.95; Hickory-Venice Road to John Herd, Washington, ft. , at sum of $50,872.55; Charlergi-Lover 'toad #1, to W. K. Reed & Co. , Waynesburg, at sum of $24-306.43; Bast Canonsburg Bridge, �hartiers Creek No. 31, to Farris Engineering Cdmpany, Pittsburgh, Pa. , at sum of $23,363-31; that the awarding of con- tracts for construction- of Blainesburg Road and Swart Arch, Ten Mile Creek No. 398 MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA J ELMER JOHNSTON, JAMES W WALKER, W H ECKER, COMMISSIONERS 50, be deferred until a later date, pending investigation of certain matters in connection therewith, and that the County Controller be directed to return checks of unsuccessful bidders on the projects upon which contract were this- day awarded, retaining all checks and bids on the projects upon which con- tracts were not awarded. Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs Johnston and Walker; Mr. Barnes having notice of meeting, 'but absent. ikotion by M� Walker seconded by Mr. Johnston, thht the contracts for Blainsburg Road and Swart Bridge Arch, letting having been deferred from recent meeting, be let as follows :-Blainsburg Road to Petriello Brothers , at the sum of $28,018.40 and the Swart Bridge Arch to Dickey & Saxon, at their bid of $18,821.21. question ca#led for; voting "Aye" Messrs. Commissioners in regular session , members present being Messrs. Johnston, Walker and Barnes . Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that County Treasurer be directed to transfer, with approval of Gounty 'Controller, the sum of Seventy-five thousand ($75,000-00) Dollars from the Aoad Fund of the County of Washington to the General Fund of said county, for the purpose 6f meeting current expenses of the said County. Motion unanimously carried. Approved : Mark M. Decker Deputy Controller. There being no further business, the Board adjourned.
