BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

Washington, Pa. , February 8, 1926.
The salary board having to do with matters of salaries in the office of the
k Sheriff met in theoffice of the County Commissioners on February 8, 1926, the
following members present--meeting called by Sheriff Abbott; County Commissioners ,
Johnston, Walker and Barnes , Sheriff Abbott and County Controller Underwood;—
Sheriff Abbott , stating that Otto Luellen -had been appointed a deputy Sheriff
in his office , he moved that the salary of the said Otto Luellen should be fixed
at $150 per month; motion seconded by Mr. Walker. Question called for; voting
"Aye" Messrs . Johnston, Walker and Abbott ; voting "No" Mr. Underwood; not
voting, Mr. Barnes . Motion carried. There being nomfurther business before
the Board, it was adjourned.

The salary board having to do with the matter of salaries, etc . ,
in the office of the County Engineer , met in the office of the County E!*=isi4i ,,n
si.oners on February 8,. 1926, the following members being present; County Com-
missioners Johnston, Walker and Barnes ; County Controller Underwood Motion
by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Walker, that the action taken by the Salary
Board at its last meeting in the matter of meals furnished different employees
while on outside duty be rescinded. Motion carried. Mr. Underwood voting in the
negative.
Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. 4ohnston, that each of the
following five (5) employees in the County Engineer's Department, to-wit, H. B.
Crumrine , Porter J. Doak, E. M. Farrar, Leslie Bralay,"and Stewart -00ourson be
allowed the sum of fifty (50) cents per them while doing field work, in lieu of
an allowance for meals . Motion carried. Mr. Underwood Voting in the negative.
There being no further business before the B i eras djourned.

Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes , that Inasmuch as the
County id required to make appropriations for the burial expenses of soldiers ,
sailors and marines , whoffmay die within the County of Washington, or who may
die without the said County and have a legal residence therein at time of de-
ceas*v and -inasmuch as there is no one in authority at this time to make proper
