Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Johnston, Walker and -Barnes; Motion by 'Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. Walker, that contract for printing and delivering Official and Specimen Ballots for General Election to be held on November 2nd, 1926, be awarded to the Derrick Publishing Company, Oil City, Pa., at its low bid of $785.00, when bids for same were duly opened and read in presence of County Commissioners on October 4, 19261 and that Controller be directed to return to Ward Printing Company* Washington, Pa., the certified check that accompanied bid of said Company. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by ]&. Barnes, that County Controller be requested to advertise for bids for delivery of ballots and supplies for General .Electiottoto be,.'held on November 2, 1926, to the proper officers of the respective Election Districts of Washington County, delivery to be made on Saturday, October 30 and Monday, November 1, 1926. The following Resolution was duly presented, seconded and adopted;- MiRREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, in regular session on February 1, 1926, by Resolution duly presented and adopted, agreed to ex- tend -aid from the Road Funds of the county towards the improvement of certain highways in Boroughs and Townships, under certain gondition upon proper application therefor, and WAS, AS, applications have been made, from time to time during the year 1926 from Boroughs and Townships and Agreements entered into wdth proper officers of said Boroughs and townships for the improvement of hiaways within their borders, in accordance with the Resolution above indicated, now, I NA INUTE BOOK III OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA J ELMER JOHNSTON, JAMES W WALKER, W H ECKER, COMMISSIONERS therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that all such Agreements be hereby duly approved and ratified and that from the Road Funds of the Uounty of I'dashington there shall now be duly appropriated the sums agreed upon by this Board in said Agreements and that payment be directed to be made, by virtue of said Resolution and Agreements, as follows; - Jefferson Township, the sum of $5000 per mile for section of highway from Eldersville to a point near Studa, a distance of 4 miles more or less, Agreement made May 25, 1926; West Finley Township, the sum of $2500 per mile for section of highway from West Finley P. 0. towards Claysville, a distance of 2 miles more or less, Agreement made June 1, 1926; West Finley Township, the sum of $2500 per mile for section of highway known as Chapel Aill Road, a distance of one-third mile, Agreement made June 1, 1926; East Finley Township, the sum of $4000 per mile for section of highway known as Templeton Run Road, a distance of about 1 mile, Agreement made June 3, 1926; Blaine Township, the sum of $2500 per mile, for 2 sections of high- way, as follows; (1) Taylorstown-Claysville Ridge Road, I mile, and (2) Buffalo Creek Road, 1 mile, Agreement made June 7, 1926; Donegal township, the sum of $2500 per mile, for section of highway from Claysville Boro Line towards Beham, distance of 3 miles more or less, Agreementamade July 7, 1926; Buffalo Township, the sum of $1000 per mile, for section of highway beginning at Duvall Station and extending to point near residence of Samuel Flack, distance of 2 miles, more or less, Agreement made July 31, 1926; Amwell Township, the sum of $2500 per mile fvr section of highway beginning at Route 325 at White Bridge and extending towards Ten Mile Village, distance of 1 mile, Agreement made August 10, 1926; South Franklin Township, 1/3 of cost, not to exceed $500, for section of highway beginning at Graham's Barn and extending to Buffalo Twp Line, 1 mile, more or less, Agreement made August 13, 1926. Union Township, a sum not to exceed $3000, Upon fifty-fikty-bisiz for section of highway at Houstonts Run, about 300 feet in length, Agreement Made October 4j 1926. The following resolution was duly presented, seconded andaadopted;- WHEREASI there has been difficulty and annoyance in the matter of collection of delinquent County Taxes in the Borough of Charleroi in years past and unsatisfactory settlements have been made with collectors charged with collection of same, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Treasurer, J. X. Masters, be am - powered to make collection of all delinquent taxes due from tax payerecin said Borough of Charleroi for the tax year of 1926, and that the penalty that is legally charged to all delinquent tax payers and collected ""part of the taxes sue shall be allowed to remain in the hands of the said J E Masters and that he shall pay tkto the County Treasury the face amount of all such taxes hei,may thus collect. ?here being no further business, the meeting was -4-ourned. 6�*ntyy�'4= Office of the County Commissioners, 7ashington, Pa., October 19, 1926. M. joint meeting of Qounty Commissioners and County Controller to open bids for delivery of Ballots and Election Supplies to the proper officers of the respective election district of Washington County for the General Election to be held on November 2, 192f; present for County Commissioners, Messrs. Johnston, Walker and Barnes; County Controller Underwood present; bids from the following persons opened and read in pres- enas of County Commissioners, all bids being accompanied by certified check for $500, we required; -- Mark Knestrick, $490.00 J. Preston Horn, 460.00 William Galley, 445.00 Enoch Hall, 474.00 Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contract for delivery of Ballots and Election Supplies for the General Election to be held on bovember 2, 1926, be awarded to William Galley, at his lowest and best bid of $445.00 and that County Controller be directed to return cer-
