Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs . Johnston and
Barneq ;Mr. Walker having notice of meeting, but absent.
Motion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Johnston, that County Controller
be requested to advertise for the purchase of three (3 ) automobiles , as follows :
1 FORD COUPE, for use of County Probation Officer;
1 FORD TON TRUCK, Automatic Steel Dump Body, Jiffy Type, with
steel closed cab, planator Gear Shift, for Road Department;
1 FORD TON TRUCK, Steel Closed Cab, Steel Express Body, ;&nopy Roof,
planator Transmission Gear Shift, for Road Department.
Question called for; Voting "Aye" Messrs- Barnes and Johnston; Motion
carried.

Joint meeting with County Controller to open bids for purchase of three
(3 ) autbm(ybiles , as advertised for by Controller' Present for "ounty dommissiono—am
Messrs . Johnston, Walker and -Barnes ; County Controller Underwood present;
but one bid was received, that of L. H. Rutherford, Inc. , Washington, Pa;. * which
said bid was opened in presence of 'Jounty Commissioners and read, as, follows;-
1-Ford Ton Truck, automatic steel dump body, Jiffy make, with steel closed
cab, planator gear shift, $681.o5
Gas and oil extrari, 1.22
1-Ford ton truck, steel closed cab, steel express body,
Ford canopy roof, planator gear shift, 639.55
Gas and oil extra, 1. 22
1-Ford Coupe, equipped with starter and demountable rims and one spare rim,
for spare tire carried, delivered, 552 .62
Gas and oil, extra, 1.22
A-otian by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the three (3 ) automobiles
thus advertised dor and upon which above bids were received, be purchased by
the County of Washington from L. H. Rutherford, Inc . , at the prices set forth

County Controller be requested to advertise for bids for loading and ,

Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes , that inasmudh
as the voroner's Jury inquiring into the murder of one Harry Reed has
reccmrended that the reward of $1 WO already offered by the County Com-
missioners for information leading to ' the arrest and conviction of the
murderer or murderers should be increased to $5000, in conformity with the
said recommendation the said reward be increased from $1000 to $5000,
upon the same conditions as governed the original offer of $1000. Motion
carried.
