Joint Meeting
of
Westmoreland efd Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Penn&.
April nth, 1926.
A Joint meeting of the Westmoreland and Washing-
ton County Commissioners. was held at the office .of the Wash-
ington County Commissioners at Washington, Pa. April 7th,
1926 at which the following persons were present from,
Westmoreland County County commissioners Kilgore and Tor-
rence, County Controller Arter and County Engineer Wynn;
from Washington County County Commissioners Johnston and
Barnes, Uountyy controller wnderwood and County Engineer
Chaney. The Engineers reported that immediate repairs should
be made to a part of the floor -system of the Donora-Webster .
Bridge and also to some of the bents and bracing on the ap-
proaches at either end of this bridge. Some replacements are
necessary over the railroads where the fumes from the trains
have caused serious deterioration to the members of the bridge.
The exact amount of these replacements could not be deter-.
mined without a removal of part of the floor. Having dis-
cussed the matter at length it was decided that the nature of
the work and the condition of the bridge made it impractical
to determine the full amount of the work to be done. It
was , therefore, decided to have this work done by force ac-
count. It was moved by Mr. Johnston and seconded by Mr.
Kilgore that the Farris Engineering company be employed to
make these repairs on a schedule of prices to be approved by
the engineers, loontrollers and ummissioners of both Counties.
The notion carried unanimously. There being no further business
the meeting was adjourned.
