The following resolution was duly presented, seconded andaadopted;-
WHEREASI there has been difficulty and annoyance in the matter
of collection of delinquent County Taxes in the Borough of Charleroi in
years past and unsatisfactory settlements have been made with collectors
charged with collection of same, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Treasurer, J. X. Masters, be am -
powered to make collection of all delinquent taxes due from tax payerecin
said Borough of Charleroi for the tax year of 1926, and that the penalty
that is legally charged to all delinquent tax payers and collected ""part
of the taxes sue shall be allowed to remain in the hands of the said J E
Masters and that he shall pay tkto the County Treasury the face amount of
all such taxes hei,may thus collect.

At 11;10 A. M. joint meeting of Qounty Commissioners and County
Controller to open bids for delivery of Ballots and Election Supplies to
the proper officers of the respective election district of Washington County
for the General Election to be held on November 2, 192f; present for County
Commissioners, Messrs. Johnston, Walker and Barnes; County Controller
Underwood present; bids from the following persons opened and read in pres-
enas of County Commissioners, all bids being accompanied by certified check
for $500, we required; --
Mark Knestrick, $490.00
J. Preston Horn, 460.00
William Galley, 445.00
Enoch Hall,
474.00
Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contract for
delivery of Ballots and Election Supplies for the General Election to be
held on bovember 2, 1926, be awarded to William Galley, at his lowest and
best bid of $445.00 and that County Controller be directed to return cer-

tified checks to all unsuccessful bidders.
There being no further business before the joint meeting, it
was adjourned.
