RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF COUNTY COI-MISSIONERS
OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA.
Upon the application of the officers of 'lashington Camp
No. 120, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War for the privilege of
erecting a monument zind memorial to the memory of the veterans of the
ivil War on the front lawn of the Court House fronting on Main Street
at the South East -corner; IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of
County Commissioners of Washington County in regular session met that said
application be granted and said lawn reserved for the same and the privil-
ege of erecting said monument given. The plans and sijecifications to be
subject to the approval of the County Commissioners and the Art Commission
of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Adopted this 6th day of January, 1927-

Pennsylvania, that they deem it expedient to improve, under the provisions
df the Act of Assembly of said Commonwealth, approved May 11, 1911, P. L.
244, and its amendments and supplements , the following described section
of one of the main roads or highways within said County, to-wit :
A section of the road known as the Avella-Manchester Road,
Section No. 2, leading from Avella to Manchester School House , beginning
at a point where this road intersects State Highway Route No. 545 and ex-
tending towards Manchester School House , a distance of 895 feet, more or
less , to the northern end' of the County improved road. Said road being in
Independence Township,

Resolved by the County Commissioners of Washington County,
Pennsylvania, that they deem it expedient to improvem under the provisions
of the Act of Assembly of said Commonwealth, approved lay 11, 1911, P. L.
244, and its amendments and supplements , the following described section
of one of the main roads or highways within said County, to-wit :
A section of the road known as the Daisytown-National Pike Road,
leading from Daisytown to the National Pike , beginning at a. point on the
County Brick road in Daisytown, thence across the Daisytown Arch to the
Rational Pike , a distance of 4,421 feet, more or less . Said road being
partly in West Pike Run _'ownship, partly in East Pike liun Township and
partly in the Borough of Centreville.
That an application for the approval of each improvement
be presented to the Court of quarter Sessions Of said County and that upon
the approval of such application by the Grand Jury and Court, the vounty
Conunissioners shall improve the said described section of road in ac-
cordance with the surveys and plans therefor, which have been prepared by
the County Road Engineers and in accordance with the provisions of the
Act of Assembly aforesaid and its supplements .
The foregoing is a true copy of a resolution adopted by the
County Commissioners of Washington County on the 14th day of January,1927.

one of the main roads or highways within said County, to-wit :
A section of the road known as the Malden-California road,
leading from the National Pike at Malden to California, beginning at the
Rational Pike and extending to the East Pike Run Township line, a distance
-of 2, 592 feet, more or less , in the Jorough of Centreville.
That an application for the approval of such improvement be
presented to the -ourt of quarter Sessions of said Gounty and that upon

Commissioners shall improve the said described section of road in accordance
with the surveys and plans therefor, which have been prepared by the County
Road engineers and in accordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly
aforesaid and its supplements.
The foregoing is a true copy of a resolution adopted by the County
Commissioners of Washington County on the 14th day of January, 1927-

A section of the road known as the ".anonsburg-Bishop road, leading from
Canonsburg to Bishop, beginning at a point on the James White farm where
said road leaves the Canonsburg-Venice improved road and extending towards for
a distance of feet, more or less , Said section of road being in Cecil
Township.
That an application for the approval of such improvement be presented
to the court of ',,uarter Sessions of said County and-that upon- the approval
of such application by the Grand Jury and Court, the County Commissioners
shall improve the said described section of road in accordance with
the surveys and plans therefor, which have been prepared by the county Road
Engineers and in a�;cordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly afore-
said and its supplements .
The foregoing is a true copy of a resolution adopted by the- County
Commissioners of Washington County on the 14th day of January, 1927..
