`7HEREAS, Charlotte R Feevey and Harry Feevey, her husband, of
11allowfield Township, Washington 1%ounty, Pennsylvania, are the owners of
Lots Nos. "B" and tic in the Plan of Wilson Heights , laid: out by Jacob
Zeidman* situated in Fallowfield Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania,
recorded in clan Book 5, page 172, Washington County records , which said lots
front one hundred thirty-five (135) feet on the Monongahela Road and ex-
tend back to Johnson Street in said -Plan and line betwwen Wolf Avenue and
property now or formerly of Hamilton Johnson; upon which is erected a two
story frame dwelling together with other out-buildings ; and
71HEREAS, the said lionongahela Road has been taken over by the
Cowmonwealth as a state highway and known as Route No. 247, and the ' aaid
State highway Department has relocated and -extended the lines of the same
so as to extend through said lots Nos. "Bit and "C", and through the said

dwelling and outbuildings erected thereon; and
7,ITMBEAS, the County of Washington, under the law, is liable to
pay the damages to the land owners caused by the taking of said property
as aforesaid, and by reason of the contingency that has occurred and the
necessity for the immediate removal of the said building upon said lot, the
County of Washington by its commissioners , has deemed it proper and expedient
to agree with the said owners of the said lots for the damages arising to
them by reason of the necessity for the removal of said dwelling and out-
b ,ildings from said lots, and that the said owners have agreed to remove
the same instead of allowing them to be demolished.
NOW THERBFORE, the above named Charlotte R. Feevey and Harry
Feevey, her husband, for and in consideration of the agreement of the County
Commissioners aforesaid to pay them the sum of Thirty-two hundred fifty
dollars ($3250.00) ad hereinafter set forth, hereby covenant and agree to
proceed at once and immediately remove the said dwelling and outbuildings
from said premises , free and clear of the right of way for said state highway;
in consideration thereof, the said County of Washington, by its commissioners
aforesaid, hereby agree to pay to- the said Charlotte A. Feevey and Harry Feevey,
her husband, the said sum of Thirty-two hundred fifty dollars (.13, 250.00) NEM
said dwelling and outbuildings have been removed as aforesaid.
It is further understood and agreed between the parties hereto
that the payment of the said sum of Thirty-two hundred fifty dollars $3250.00)
as aforesaid, include all damages of any kind, for or on account of the re-
moval of the said dwelling and outbuildings , or for or on account of any
damages to the dwelling and outbuildings whatsoever; also any and all damages
to the cistern on said lots ; But any other claim for damages to said lots
which may be legally recoverable from the County in connection with the im-
ptovement of a state highway, shall be submitted to the Board of Viewers for
their determination.
It is further understood and agreed, and the said Charlotte
Feevey and Harry Feevey, her husband* do hereby wgxrant that they are
the owners- in fee simple of the premises hereinabove described and that the
same are free and clear of all liens and encumbrances except the following
judgments entered in the Prothonotary's Office of Washington County;
Judgment of R. H. Rush, Cashier, entered October 19, 1922, in the amount of
$150 at No. 343 J"ov. Term, 1922, D S B; Judgment of R. H. Rush, Cashier,
entered October 19, 1922, in the amount of $775-00, at� No- 344 Nov. Term,
1922, D. S. B. ; judgment of R. H. Rush, Cashier, entered August 24, 1926, in
the amount of $750-00, at No. 17 Nov. Term, 1926, D. S. B. That the said
County of 'Washington may retain and withhold from said payment such amount
-as will be sufficient to satisfy the aforesaid judgments, or any other lien

For and in consideration of covenants and agreements in the
contract entered into by us this day with R. S. Moodey, of the Borough of
Charleroi , Washington County, Pennsylvania, for the removal of the foregoing
dwelling and outbuildings , we hereby assign, transfer, and set over to the
said R. S. Moodey the above sum of Thirty-two Hundred fifty dollars
( 3250.00 ) and we hereby agree to endorse the warrant for the same to be
issued by the County Commissi6ne=rs to R. S. Moodey, and thq same to be so
endorsed payable to the said R. S. Moodey when we certify to the County Commis'--. '
sioners that he has fully completed the said contract with us.

All bids accompan#td by certified check for $100, as required.
Motion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. ATabnebon, that contract for
furnishing, printing and delivering 350 Road improvement Bonds be awarded
to F. Englert Lithographing Co. , Pittsburgh, Pa. , at bid of $140.00 and that
checks of all unsuccessful bidders on Bonds , Tax Receipt Books , etc. ,
Chevrolet Coupe, be returned by Controller to said unsuccessful bidders.
4uestion called for; voting "Aye" Messrs. Barnes and Johnston. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the joint meeting, it
was adjourned.

Johnston, Walker and Barnes ;
Motion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Walker, that the County
of Washington pay to the Township of West Bethlehem, through its regularly-
constituted Board of Supervisors , a sum equal to fifty(50 ) per cent of the
grading costs incurred in the grading of some three (3 ) miles of highway
in said Township ; and, also, that the county of Washington pay, in conjunc-
tion with the .Borough of California, a sum equal to fifty (50) per cent,
but not to exceed the sum of Three Thousand ($3000 ) Dollars , of the costs of
grading a street in .said Borough of Ualifornia. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Board, it adjourned.
