lotion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Walker that the County
Controller be requested to advertise for bids for the construction of the
following roads , as per specifications etc. to be seen in -the office of
the County Engineer;
LONE PINE--MARIANNA ROAD, West -Mthlehem Townships, beginning at the forks
of the road on the Sowers farm and extending to the Daniels Run Road, a
distance of 7,300 ft.
• GASTONVILLE--ELRAMA ROAD, SEC. NO. *, Union Township, beginning at Station
46-98.5 and extending to Station 138--05.6 a distance of 9.107-1 ft .
BUURGETTSTOWN--ELDERSVILLE ROAD, SEC. No. 2, Jefferson Township, beginning
at Station 241--15 and extending to Station 309--00, a distance of 6,785 ft.
CANONSBURG--BISHOP ROAD, Cecil Township, beginning at the Canonsburg--Venice
Road and extending to the village of kuse, a distance of 6,525 ft.
MCDONALD--VENICE ROAD, Cecil Township, beginning at the Boro line of eDonald
and extending southwardly a distance of 5280 ft.
BURGETTSTO'WN--CROSS CREEK ROAD, Smith and Cross Creek Townships , beginning
Y.
at a point near Atlasburg and extending towards the village of Cross Creek,
a distance of 8,500 ft.
DOXORA-ZLDORA ROAD, Carroll Townships beginning at the Borg line of Donors,
and extending westwardly a distance of 11,430 ft- Bids will also be
received on this road for widening the present brick road with new concrete
base and a 2-inch bituminous wearing surface over the old brick and new
base.
VALM,-CALIFORNIA ROAD, Centreville Borop beginning at the National Pike
extending towards California a distance of 2,592 ft.
MIDWAY--PRIMROSE ROAD, SEC. No. 2, Mt. Pleasant Township, beginning at
Primrose Station and extending towards Midway, a distance of 909.5 ft.
AVELLA--M"CHESTER ROAD, SEC NO. 2, Independence Township, beginning at
State Highway Route No. 545 and extending southwardly a distance of 895 ft.
Bids will also be received-at the same time for the following work:-
DAISYTOWN44JNATIONAL PIKE ROAD, BEGINNING at Daisytown and extending to the
National Pike a distance of 4,447 ft- , grading and drainage only.
For the construction of 1,500 ft. of concrete gutter on the McMurray Road

For the construction of the following Bridges :-
CHARTIERS AVE. , BRIDGE CHARTIERS CREEK, No, 34, a plate girder bridge,,
76 ft. clear span with a 20 ft. roadway, 2 sidewalks , concrete floor and
concrete abutments .
BENDERSON BRIDGE, RACCOON CREEK no. 25, beam and concrete construction
of two 20 ft spans and a 23 ft. roadway.
A certified check of' $1,000-00 must accompany each bid. The right is re-
served to reject any or all bids*

The Salary Board having to do with salaries of employees in the
office of the County Controller met in the office of the County Commissioners
on "'arch 9, 1927; members present being County Commissioners Johnston,
Walker and Barnes and County Controller Underwood.
emotion by Mr. Underwood, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the salary
of Meyer Goldfarb, Esq. , solicitor in and for the office of the County
Controller, be fixed at One Hundred and Fifty (1150) Dollars per month, ef-
fective as of January 1, 1927- Motion unanimously carried.
There Ming no further business before the meeting, it was ad-
journed.
