Washington, Pa. , April 20, 1927-
Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs.
Johnston, Walker and Barnes :
kotion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr, Walker, that contracts for
construction of following roads be awarded the Company indicated, it hav-
ing presented bids on April 12, 1927, and being the best and lowest bidder
on these projects ;
Burgettstown-Eldersville Aoad, State Construction Co.
Lone Pine--Marianna Road, State Construction Co.
Gastonville-Elrama Woad, Ztate Construction Co.
and that County Controller be directed to return all certified checks to
unsuccessful bidders on these roads.
Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Board; the meeting was
adjourned.

Johnston* Walker and Barnes;
The matter of awarding contract to the construction of the Donora-
Eldora Road, for which bids were opened on April 12th, being presented,
upon motion by mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes , the contract for con-
struction of said road was awarded to the Sonora Construction Company,
at the bid submitted by the State Construction Company, this being the
lowest and best bid received for the building of the said road, and the
price submitted and at which contract is to be completed being $82,812.25.
Motion carried.

at 2 P. M. to open bids for supplying and laying of 114 yards Grade

under felt base and cemented to floor; present for County Commissioners ,
Messrs . Johnston, Walker and -Barnes ; County Controller Underwood present; bids
from following concerns having been received by County Controller, were opened
and read in presence of Cdunty Commissioners ;
Cut Price Furniture Store, $313-50 ii
The Caldwell Store, inc. , 330.60
Daniel Schneider, � 342.00
'IIMotion by Mr. Barnes , seconded by Mr. Talker, that contract
be awarded to Cut Price Furniture ,Store, at its bid submitted, to-wit,$3.13-50.
Motion carried.
There being no further business before the joint meeting, it was
adjourned.

COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.

Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs . Johnston ,
Walker and Barnes.
Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Barnes , that County Treasurer
be directed to transfer, with approval of County Controller, the sum of One
Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars from the Road Funds of the County of
Washingtont ,to the General Fund of said County, for the purpose of meeting cup
rent expenses of the County.
Motion unanimously carried.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned.
