Messrs. Watson , Hill and Barnum in session.
Moved by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Watean that the "vortising
of the Mercantile List be awarded to the Observer PU1011shimg
Company, the Donora Herald and Roscoe Ledger. The motion
was carried unanimously.
April 2, 1919
Messrs. Watson, Parnum & Hill in session.
Moved by Mr. Barnum, seconded by Mr. Hill that Mr. George
Marker, County Defective , be allowed $44.00 per month for use
of auto for county work and expenses for the same beginning
April let, 1919.

RBSOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County
Pennsylvania, that they deem it expedient to improve under the
provisions of the Act of Assembly of said Commonwealth ap-
proved May llth, 1911 , the following described section of one
of .the main public roads or highisays mithia said county, to-wit:
That portion of public road leading through Midway towards
Bulger 'treginning at appoint where the eastern borev4t line of
said borough crosses Railroad Street, thence vowtvaxdly along
Railroad Street to- St: Johns street , thmeo by wW of Rt.
Johns and Dixon Streets to a-•poiltt-vUere the western borough
line of said borough crosses Dixon Street , a distance of Throe
Thousand Two Hundred Fifty six and nine tenths (3256.9) feet,
all in the .6orough of Midway. Y
That an application *for the approval of such improvement
be presented to the Court of Quarter Sessions of skid county,,
and that upon the approval ofsuch application by the Grand Jury,
and Court, the County Commissioners shall improve the said
described section of road in accordance with the surveys ,and
plans- therefore , which have been prepared by George S. Chaney,
County Angineer , and in accordance with the previsions of the
Act of Assembly aforesaid and its supplements.

RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County,
Pennsylvania, that they deem it expedient to improve under the
provisions of the Act of Assembly of said Commonwealth approved
May llth, 1911, the following described section of one of the
main public roads or highways within said county, ttwits
That portion of public road leading from Twilight to .Coal
Center beginning at the intersection of said read with the state
road leading to Speers near MaCroryfs store , thence -in & South-
Orly direction by way of Twilight-Coal Center Road to the forks
of the road near Howe' s Cemetery a distance of Ten Thousand
and Six Hundred Forty one (10641) feet , situate partly in Twi-
light Borough and partW in Long Branch Borough.
That an application for the approval of such improvement t"
be presented to the Court of Quarter Sessions of said County, `
and that upon the approval of such application by the Grand Jury f
and Court , the Uounty Commissioners shall improve the said de-
scribed section of road in accordance with the surreys and plans
therefore, which have been prepared by George S. Chaney, 'jounty
Engineer, and in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 41-
Assembly aforesaid and its supplements.
