IMSOLUTION OF, COUNTY COMAISSI =:FM.
Resolved by the County Commissioners of Washington
County, Pennsylvania,, that they qeem it expedient to Im-
prove under the provisions of the Act of Assembly of said
Commonwealth approved May llthj 1911, the following described
section `of one of.,.ithe main public roads or highways within
said county, to wit:
That section ofthe public road leading from Burgetts-
town to Langeloth beginning at the borough line of Burgetts-
town and extending southweetwardly for a distance of 4114
feed, more or less, to Park Avenue in the village of Langeloth.
That an application for the approval of such- Amprove-
sent bo,presented to the Court of quarter Sessions of said
County, and that upon the approval of such Vplication by

with the surveys and plans therefore, which have been

prepared by George S. Chaney, County Znginear,, and in accord -
once with the provisions of the Act of Assembly aforesaid

Moved by Mr. Watson, seconded by Mr. Hill that Mr. James
Heffran be appointed assessor of Speers Borough to fill
vacancy caused by resignation of C. K. "halfant, the regular
elected assessor. Motion carried unanimously.

PETITION TO COUNTY COMMISSIONEF
-The petition of Nazzie Murshetz respectfully
represents:
That at the above number and term, an attachment
execution was issued against him on a bond in the Court of
quarter Sessions for John Ciacic. That the said John Ciacic
entered a lea of guilty for selling liquor without license
ands "Fined Me Hundred Dollars and costs amounting to $574.87,�
That said fine andcostswere certified to the Court of
Common Pleas and judgment entered thereon.
That judgment was afterwards obtained against the
44--X*zzie Murshets as garnishee for the full abount for
9'*4l*r* to answer, it being claimed that he had money in his
h&zdi,t*lbnging to John Ciacic.
At the hearing for discharge of lokm Ciacic from
it developed that the money placed inv%A* bonds of
b9ndaAan had been returned, part of it b*1o*S*4"t 0 a

brother of John Ciacic. The judgment now held by the County
of Washington was obtained against Nazzie Murshets by default
and an execution has been issued against his property and a
levy -made and inquisition held by the sheriff._
That the said Nazzie Murshetz throughhis attorney,
Clyde S.-.Pipes, has made an application to the Commissioners
:&r relief, showing that the collection of this judgment will
result -in sacrificing the home of the defendant. That the
said defendant is a respectable foreigher, who has saved
up his money from his wages earned in the coal nine and states
further that, he did not understand the situation} in shich
he was placed when he entered into said recognisbance and haA
been advised that when John Ciacic was discharged from jail
under the insolvency act, that this would relieve him from
any further liability.
The said Nazzie Murshetz therefore, requests the
County Commissioners after hearing this matter to exonerate
him -frok the payment of the $500 fine, providing he pays the
costs accrued in the cri*inal proceedings as well as in the
attic rent proceedings amounting to $108.91.

matters set forth in the foregoing petition, it is.resolved
by the_Board of'County �;ommissioners in regular session met
that -.the said Nazzie Murshetz be relieved from payment of the
$506 fin* upon payment of costs in both cases to date, to
